Idah , looks slow and clueless 16:09 - Sep 27 with 8391 views | Wales | Hope I am wrong but so far this guy looks garbage. All well and good scoring a few in the jock pub league but today he was slow and looked totally out of his depth when he came on , even getting in the way of Vipotnik who was about the smash it goal bound. When he was put through clean on goal he was slow and non committed, also reacted like a snail at the end when it came back off the keeper, then ball placed perfectly on his head to nut it miles over. His record at Norwich was 8 goals in 100 games, that hardly inspires confidence, it was a bit better playing in the pub league but when your squad costs 10 times the amount of virtually all the others thats not hard. £6 million wasted I am afraid. I doubt if the dud gets us 10 league goals this season. [Post edited 27 Sep 16:11]

Idah , looks slow and clueless on 20:13 - Sep 28 by Whiterockin | My opinion on Vipotnik and Idah. Vipotnik needs the ball played to his feet, whilst Idah needs the ball in the air preferably from wide left because he drifts right. It was interesting yesterday with both on the pitch together, Vipotnik dropped deeper while Idah played further forward, I would have played them the other way round if anything. |
I think they had it right in theory. Idah as the target upfront with Vipi ostensibly feeding off his layoffs/knockdowns. There just weren't really any.

Add our midfield options which includes Fulton and our defensive options of Parker, Samuel-Smith and Casey. New players to augment what we had last season doesn't mean we ditch players who were used to good effect last season and who had gain experience in the Championship.

Idah , looks slow and clueless on 09:46 - Sep 28 by RichardO | If Idah is not up to speed them why play him, let him integrate into the squad during the training sessions. We have the likes of Widell who had started to look sharper amd up to speed and now we are not using him, Eom and Cullen got us up the pitch against Forest making a difference, I know it is early days for him but so has it been for others, We want players up top with guile and movement to open teams up we seem to be relying on the likes off Tymon and Key to provide that but that leaves us so exposed at times at the back. Bringing on the extra attacker would seem to be a good idea but at the moment Idah is not ready. Vipotnik also now seems to link up well with Ronald who will be disappointed to put his chance over the bar, right place right time I had called to give Benson a chance but Ronald was playing ok but Sheehan really needs to look at the partnership of Key and Ronald because it really slows the play down on the right, Key taking far too many touches on the ball, getting caught on the ball far too often also resulting in the safe momentum killing back passes. I think he is up to speed it’s just him settling in we had a year of Vip getting his mindset right. I think both can play as a two up front, it’s early days, it wouldn’t surprise me of it didn’t click until after Xmas.

Idah , looks slow and clueless on 14:11 - Sep 29 with 2692 views | howenjack | Get him running on Swansea beach on wet sand - that will build the stamina up . Him and Vipotnik could be a lethal partnership up front ............. Watch this space. Benson supplying the ammo on one side . (Ronald to come on second half with Ionousssa . replacing Benson and Yalcouye). Widdel alongside Yalcouye and Galbraith in mf and Stamenic holding. Defence of - Cabango , Burgess and West Ham lad . vigoroux in goal. Switch to a back 4 if in front second half to consolidate . Bring off W.Ham Lad bring on Tymon and Key . Bring off Yalcouye . Replace tired legs with Franco as you see fit [Post edited 29 Sep 14:48]

That’s a really strange one to pick out. He looked quick and sharp and tucked his penalty away confidently. This is becoming more of a vendetta than a critique.
Idah , looks slow and clueless on 18:43 - Oct 4 with 1647 views | TheAlpineShrew | Thought he did ok today, took the penalty well, and the one clearance that went near him he held it up well.
Idah , looks slow and clueless on 18:48 - Oct 4 with 1626 views | Dr_Winston | He wasn't as good as Vipotnik was today, but few forwards in the division are with the kind of form he's in. Again, it's going to be hard for him to build up any kind of consistency when he's largely restricted to sub appearances.

Thing is, he’s also a potential liability. Benson, Innoussa and Yalcouye can all make things happen, but can all also leave us horribly exposed by losing possession cheaply, particularly given how high our fullbacks like to push on. He has to find a balance between risk and flair. Starting none of them is way too conservative for me, but I can understand not just picking your exciting players.

Idah , looks slow and clueless on 16:46 - Oct 5 with 1177 views | KeithHaynes | I like Adam Idah, even if he just put his name to these comments. Two games one assist and a goal. > Adam Idah believes Swansea City have positives to take from defeat by Leicester City, and was pleased to get off the mark for his new club despite the disappointment of the result. Idah, who joined from Celtic on transfer deadline day, netted from the spot to get the Swans back on level terms with 20 minutes to play; cancelling out Jordan James' first-half strike. But Abdul Fatawu soon restored Leicester's lead with a stunning goal, and Jannik Vestergaard's header gave the Foxes a 3-1 win. The final scoreline was harsh on the Swans, but Idah believes there is plenty to take from a showing where they caused problems for a team who were in the Premier League last term. “It was tough. I think the first 70 minutes, the boys did really well. We kept that up after our goal," said Idah. “But the timing of their second goal killed the game a bit, even though we tried to get back in to it. “But I thought the boys did well, they dug deep and we’re disappointed to have lost. “Their squad is mainly a Premier League squad. They have real quality players. And I do think we matched them in many spells. "To get my first goal for the club is good, I know it’s not the result we wanted, but to get off the mark will give me some confidence. “Penalties are always nerve-wracking, but its something that’s drilled into us strikers in training."

This is a very fair point and should be remembered when people are complaining that Bobby Wales, Widdell etc aren’t getting a chance. The best team doesn’t necessarily mean the best eleven individuals and it certainly doesn’t mean the most exciting players. Benson is box office, but he invariably loses possession because he doesn’t know when to give the simple ball and tries to take an extra player on. One on one I’m sure he’s devastating and if he got better at releasing when he’s drawn the second or third player out of position, I’m sure he’d be a regular starter

At training Benson can be tasked accordingly He’s got real ability He should know what to do ,it’s why they train They should all know They don’t Dramatic looks lost as does Yalcoure Wales has ability and why he was bought If that’s the case , then give him a chance As for Widdel …

It’s either the manager sees them every day and selects his side accordingly or you want certain players played regardless. You can’t have both. I’d imagine Burnley have already tried that with Benson, he’s 28. He wouldn’t be here on loan if he could beat players as easily as he does but then followed up by dragging opponents out of position and played teammates in. He could be a really good player.

You pay £6 million to buy a goal scoring Centre Forward , the paying supporters expect a miracle to happen overnight . Keiffer Moore at Wrexham , problably a freebie transfer and on big bucks there now is doing the business as a target man in the box , scoring off any means necessary . Idah impact player from the bench or a go to attacker from the kick off . He will soon have to justify his price tag .

Now I agree with this ^ I was saying tbe same when we were in for him. He wasn't that good at Norwich and he did half decent in the pub league But we have him now, sheehan has to play him from the start or alongside vip

This was the area I was worried about all summer. Everyone was convinced we were signing this blockbuster striker and people were happy the likes of McBurnie and Kone went elsewhere. Vipotnik hadn’t exploded by that point either and I think we panic bought. Not much to judge him on yet, but he hasn’t done much so far.

Sheehan said he only wanted players who were better than what we already had to improve the team , that hasn’t happened in this instance
