wouldnt take a lot more for me to jack in the epl and the efl and just watch local sides play.Fed up with being ripped off, watching players cheat, going down with pretend injuries to stop the play, half arsed effort from players who are really well paid to put that effort in and my pet hate wan+ y fans who boo at half time and full time if its not going youre way,its pathetic. If youre not happy vote with youre feet, leave early or dont go again just please not booing.

Anne Frank definitely.
I’ve never been but those who have say it’s that’s busy you are herded around somewhat, so I’ll give it a swerve.

I used this website and app during our Seville and Dublin trips.
Very good.

WE BITTENBALLEN ON

Went to Anne Frank house a few months ago. Had to book in advance and we were in a massive queue online but got tickets ok . Well worth it if you love history. I enjoying watching any documentary or anything about the Second World War. Reading her book now . Also visited Aromanches last year whilst on a cruise and visited Gold beach which I found very moving .

Anne Frank's house is an amazing experience. The actual bookcase is there and the actual books from the time.

Amsterdam is very chilled, and clean.

Yes loved Amsterdam .

Re Anne Franks house, I was surprised some people just wizzed around. I took as much time as I could to take it all in and took a few photos which I wasn’t supposed to do. Naughty me .

Been to the Anne Frank house a few times, when i first went about 30 years ago it was easy to get in and walk around, now its more hectic and you have to book, but last time i went its a place you could walk around at your leisure and reflect on what happened there and the wider picture of Nazi occupation, its a sombre walk around, I would hate to think they herded people around given it's past and how the occupants left that house

I gave up watching saints three seasons ago just fed up with all the play acting by teams saved hundreds by not going off to Australia to watch the cricket next month

Watching the young Northern Ireland team, with Shea Charles, Isaac Price and Conor Bradley, is a real joy. It's a pity Bradley is suspended for the Germany game on Monday.

Brilliant atmosphere at Windsor Park too.

Shea Charles is currently on course to be Player of the Year for both his club and country. Of course, he was Player of the Year for Sheffield Wednesday last season.

I think this thread is a good demonstration of how badly the club has lost the hearts of its fans. Apart from mediocre quality football, shocking managerial recruitment and gradual depletion of the playing squad quality over the past few seasons, there is very little of interest coming out of the club to keep fans engaged.

Even this thread has drifted off onto an Ann Frank tour review. I gave up my season ticket after relegation 3 seasons ago, because I wanted to see top class football, even if we didn’t always deliver on our side. I haven’t seen anything more than exciting mediocre football at best since then (and a lot of it much less interesting). I constantly look for things to perk up my interest, and frankly, in the media (traditional and social) I don’t see much outside of a couple of forums except articles on players of yesteryear and transfers that apparently we could have done better at, no sh1t Sherlock. I know that a good number of blogs are just lazy students covering several clubs (I guess they must get a kick out of publishing their mangled narratives), so for now, I just stick to this forum.

Don’t chuck in the towel Nick, please.

Been in Belfast all weekend

Went to Slovakia game Friday, great game and atmosphere with Shea immense in midfield

Then up to watch Carrick Rangers beat Portadown Saturday, where on realising the four of us were Saints fans we were treated to free drinks for 2 hours after the game

Had a great time, everybody so friendly, and bumped into loads of Germans last night, over here for tonight’s game, where hopefully Shea and the lads will perform well again

Did the Germans offer any opinions on our 4 recent signings from their various divisions?

I imagine Sports Republic’s recruitment team were the only people who have ever heard of them.

The ones I spoke to were Bayern Munich supporters, so don’t think they had much idea about mainstream football in Germany.

Nb I think Jander will prove to be an excellent signing and Brazilian looked good to last week,

Quarshie is only 21 and has played for German U18 to U21 teams.
Casper Jander is only 22 and has played for German U20/21 teams.
Sadly we don't seem to know what to do with them which tells you a story.,

Sam Amo-Ameyaw is only 19 and he's played for England U16, U17, U18, U19 and now U20 teams. Look what they did with him.

They'll all be sold to the first club that makes a bid for them. Sport Republic like a quick turnover of their stock.
