Will Still 17:37 - Oct 18 with 3061 viewsgrumpy

Well that wasn't much of an improvement was it?
Whats the point of having Downs on the bench, if when you are calling for some height in the box you don't play him.Not saying he would have been the answer but there's no point him being there.
Give the young lad Oyekunle a place on the bench, again not that tall but has a lot of promise.
Robinson and Fellows should have started.
Léo Scienza was brilliant but why did he move from the left to the right in the second half?
Will, its all very well standing there in your brilliant white trainers scowling at whats going on but a lot of that is down to you.
Will wont lose many but he wont win many either.
Get Danny Rohl in now and give him money to but a decent centre forward.

Its not Still's fault when we hit the post twice and both times the ball falls to our players who basically miss open goals.

Do you not think some of this is on the players?

Fair enough blame the manager but I honestly dont see anyone else getting enough goals for us and thats down to the recruitment and Sports Republic not the manager.

We should have won the game and WS can’t be blamed for the misses. I don’t understand playing 3 centre half’s at home to Swansea though. Why not play two up top.

Yes.

And playing 3 Centre Backs against a piss poor Swansea team at home is on Still.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Agreed. Archer is useless it seems. Robinson should have played instead, with Fellows too.

Today's result was all on Will Still.

No, he can't be blamed for our piss-poor finishing, but as others have said, why are we not playing two up front - especially at home? It's as if Will Still is sh1t scared of getting beaten. I thought he was supposed to be an 'in-game guru' who could change things at a glance?

I dont see which 2 you can play up front.

Archer has been crap..apart from cup games.

Armstrong is only effective out on the right.

Robinson beats players but gives the ball away cheaply and he's not a striker .

Fellows scored 4 goals for West Brom last season.

Azaz has been crap so far.

Downs a disaster.

Stewart forever injured.

Why are we not bringing someone in who is a free agent??
Maybe someone with some height and physical strength.

He can’t be blamed for our poor finishing 100% although how much time do we spend on shooting practise in training
But he can be blamed for picking a poor formation against a team we should have taken on and beaten plus as someone else said and I have before why not blood the 18yo who is scoring for fun ahead of having Downs on the bench
Still is beginning to come across like an nervous Wussell lite which does not bode well

Still showed how clueless he is by taking off Archer, leaving 3 centre-backs on the pitch and putting the useless Armstrong at centre forward.

I hate to say it, but he has to be sacked and replaced by Rohl asap. It’s a no-brainet - he hasn’t a clue.

How on earth do we keep finding managers who, even when they pick the wrong side cannot then make the correct changes
I thought Still was meant to be this great one to adapt within games??
I say get rid and get experience in ffs

In the short term we should use Joe aribo up front, he has played there before and can at least hold up play and win some balls in the air

This is a typical post of what we are getting at the moment. This guy wants Still sacked that’s his opinion of course he has the right to have an opinion like we all do.

Saints played very well yesterday. The wing play was good, Scienza was superb as was Fellows the defence looked good, we hit the post twice and had numerous chances yet we don’t have a striker. Everyone know this. We have t had a good one since Ings. It’s not Will Stills fault we signed Downs is it ? it’s not Will Stills fault we missed loads of chances is it ? It’s not Will Stills fault Stewart got injured is it ? we simply don’t have anyone to put the ball in the net on a regular basis but let’s blame Will Still . But oh know let’s sack Will Still despite him trying to find the best way after signing 9 new players . The fact is if we had a decent striker we would be top 6 with the amount of chances we create. We are improving that’s the main thing. I would play the young kid in the reserves up front what’s there to lose ?

Does Will Still pick the team? If so Stewarts injury is totally on him.

Yesterday was the best league performance of the season and we could only draw with a very poor Swansea. Why play 5 at the back and 2 holding midfileders at home against a poor team? Why bench our expensive siginings ? Fellows has been decent

Seriously, we cannot keep rinsing managers.

If I thought they would get someone with pedigree and experience of not only the Championship, but getting a team promoted I would probably agree. Sadly we are being run as a money making machine.

Quite possibly yes, given that it was his third game in a week after a near thirty month absence from regular first team football. Particularly given that I believe I’m correct in saying it was a hamstring injury which has now put him out of action for another two months at best.

Having said that only Sports Republic would have been daft enough to sign him in the first place and pay £10 million for the privilege.

So you think they looked after the injury prone Ross Stewart by playing him in 3 games in one week! Bearing in mind hes not managed 3 consecutive games in 3.5 seasons. You are as brainless as Will " We had an great XG score" Still.

So he scores twice in the previous game to give us a vital away win.

The manager then rests him for the next game.

We draw with Derby and the fans will bemoan that the manager has dropped the in form striker...he can't win .

I think you’re the brainless one pal. 99 % of posters on here rate Shea Charles who is having a great season and playing well for Northern Ireland yet you’re the only person I know who doesn’t rate him . Forgive me for not taking your judgment too seriously.

Right so you would have left Stewart out after scoring and playing very well against Sheff Utd would you? So you are telling me we have a massive problem scoring goals, we play Stewart who is outstanding and believe he could finally be the answer to our problems and then you’d bench him .
