Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 20:44 - Oct 22 with 1490 views | AnotherJohn | This has to be a strong contender for worst display of the season. The Swans showed a general lack of quality and far too much loose play. In terms of the main events, we saw a highly preventable goal and a street-wise centre back getting a naive young lad sent off. I thought Yalcouye tried hard, but conceded possession too easily and showed his stupid side with the sending off. I was in the "give Sheehan more time" camp, but this was a big black mark. Sticking Galbraith at full back solves the Key problem but neutralises our main mid-field threat.

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 20:45 - Oct 22 with 1463 views | KeithHaynes | There needs to be caution on Sheehan. However, this wasn’t a good first half performance not only after Malick was sent off but before. It looked as clueless no matter the amount of players on the pitch. On this showing, unless somebody gets a grip on the pitch we will throw this away. A second half to come and Swansea players need to show character. As our OP stated. He isn’t helping.

Maybe it's the my emotions running high. But something is off. I've been waving the Sheehan flag, but it's getting increasingly hard. I have 0 idea why we look like a team losing confidence and don't want to attack.

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 20:40 - Oct 22 by union_jack | Are you forgetting Norwich Saturday. We can’t be any better than them. And yes, you’re right about the lack of confidence but the lack of tactics is also alarming. We were supposed to be getting forward tonight, it just didn’t happen. There was a move where Stamenic I believe received the ball middle of the park facing our goal. Galbraith could have moved down the right to take an angled pass but decided to back peddle to take the back pass. My vocal cords went at that stage🤬 |
Im not going to watch the naaaawich game and im glad.
Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 20:49 - Oct 22 with 1354 views | KeithHaynes | Plus had it confirmed there was no contact by Malick. The slightest player on the pitch flooring a six foot plus defender 🤔

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 20:49 - Oct 22 with 1354 views | Whiterockin | Shambolic inexcusable first half. We look like a team sho have just rocked up and are playing together for the first time. Tell me where [Galbraith apart] this team are better than last season, I'm sure last years tesm would have picked up more points. If its all Sheehans fault give him until the international break then if it doesn't improve dramatically he goes. Only when the next guy comes in will we know if its the squad or Sheehan.

I wouldn’t fancy our chances tonight 11 v 11 but with the red we have next to no chance. Keith, how ruthless do you think the owners are capable of being because I just don’t see a way ahead under the current coaching team.

I am one not to obwr react with people calling for Sheehan to go. But it's getting hard to not start feeling something is off. For some reason we look like a team who has been instructed to play cautiously. It's slow, boring and sucking the life out of people attending and watching. Something has to give. How ruthless are the new owners?

We are totally different to the back end of last season. We have better players on paper so we should be playing better thats why I think the negativity is down to o'dea.

All my comments of this year are coming true. An absolute joke of a transfer window, the lack of any understanding of how team sports actually work is mind blowing. How a manager is meant to cope with this utter mess of a squad is beyond me. This new set up at the top of the club should stand up and admit their myriad mistakes. Let alone the £10 -£15 million we are going to lose im tohe transfer market before the dust settles.

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 21:05 - Oct 22 with 1115 views | newforestbluebird | As a Cardiff City supporter, I want to see all Welsh teams doing well. Sadly, Swansea's performance at Southampton and tonight's even worse performance makes me think there may be derby matches in division 1 next season. Yes, I do think Cardiff are in a false position on top of that division at the moment and it can't last.

Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 21:23 - Oct 22 with 902 views | PatchesOHoulihan | Shame Stamenic seems to have gone off the boil, looked a great player when he first started but his impact in games is less game by game. Maybe part of a bigger problem than him individually but thought he could have been a proper leader for us in the middle of the park
