I thought Stamenic was one of the better players on Weds. ATM he’s just a younger Fulton has to be tactics.

I agree The Stamenic hate is genuinely bewildering. I think he's been solid in every game he's played except Milwall.

He's got a very tough job trying to hold a whole midfield together and cover all that space by himself. He definitely needs some more help next to him but these comparisons to Fulton are just crazy.

Here we go again. 4-1.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

On their performance on Wednesday they should.

Come on Alan, go for the throat.

last chance saloon for Alan i think mate.

Taking my boy down again today, he hasn't seen a league win down there yet so far this season.

In fact just checked, we have only won one league game at home so far this season.

Come on Swans, give us all a happy Saturday.

On Wednesday he stayed so close to the QPR players it looked like he didn’t want the ball, his movement into space was non existent and he slowed the play down,we were much much better and more attacking when he went off , people around me were calling for him to be replaced at halftime
We need the player he was in his first 2 games not the player he is now
What’s causing this change??

I agree with this. He needs to turn things around starting today. Before QPR I thought he needed four or six points this week. Possibly playing an hour with ten men takes a bit of blame away, but we weren’t doing much before that.

He needs to show he’s got more to him than the way we are playing.

At the moment I’m still in the ‘hope he can turn it around’ camp. Lose today and I’ll want him gone.

We wre more adventurous with 10 as the game went on than we have been with 11 for quite a while.

His role hasn't changed he's always been asked to keep it simple and play the occaisonal diagonal to the wing if its on. But his main role is just to be a decoy and create space/ take men away so we can bypass him from the Cbs and move it quickly into the 8s but it just simply isn't working.

Don't think anything has changed with him it's just our results have just got worse so people try to find a reason why. I would like to see him and Galbraith play in a 2 and Galbraith take over the build up from him. Ithink that could work really well.

Any idea why there has been no press conference today? Is this purely down to time management or club trying to take heat off Sheehan?

Just that it’s nothing to be concerned about.

Always thought there had to be one pre match. Sheehan has missed one before and from memory Williams missed two.

Update, seems to be the case -

** EFL clubs must hold a pre-match press conference the day before a match, attended by the head coach and at least one player. The club must provide the necessary facilities and arrange the press conference in advance with the opponent and the league. These press conferences are a mandatory part of the league's media obligations and are designed to facilitate media access to the teams.

I think we were absolutely superb in the first half against Leicester - we looked much more like a top team than they did. Their goal* rocked our confidence, which have never recovered. The poor support the team has received since then has compounded this issue. Get off players backs, mistakes will be made, but positive encouragement from the stands can only help in an anxious environment we can expect today.
*Can someone look at those final seconds before they scored and tell me what the hell Inoussa was doing during that build up other than his usual flouncing about.

Inoussa has been a let down for sure, he’s not defensively minded.

We might not be playing to his strengths but his first touch does tend to be poor resulting in him having to stretch for the ball putting him off balance.

We’re talking about a Leicester team that has 5 points from 6 games either side of beating us.

I’m not sure the crowd are at fault here. Like every game, they’ll be right behind the team at 3.00. Apathy may well creep in if we play like we have been recently and don’t look like breaking Norwich down. Play well and the crowd will be up for it all game.

Pressure to perform seems to be the assumption from a few that know.

I can see there would be pressure on the players but I don’t think Sheehan’s tactics and substitutions are helping with that

I hope Sheehan is taking in the Coventry game and tries some of that. Simple really.

Id prefer a few goals rather than see him running back to defend in our half. If he’s forward he’s at least occupying a couple of defenders. It’s up to our midfield to get the ball and play into his runs. At the moment…we seem to be getting over run in midfield and between the lines which puts us under pressure and struggle to play anything meaningful going forward.

I expect we will win today which will take us to w:4 dr:4: l4: = mid table = average = is what we really are.

And even if performances and results continue to be poor, I cannot see how we can afford to keep changing managers every x months. It is not sustainable.

One slightly better transfer window (Summer 2025) does not equal automatic promotion.

I’d rather have seen Widdel there instead of Cullen. He performed well against QPR. Alas…
