Horrible news.
Used to go to the Monday night quiz there before I moved to Cardiff. He always had a chat with me about the Rangers whenever he saw me and I lost count of the number of free pints he got me.

Ah man, that’s terrible terrible news. Seeing him again and getting the first order in at the C and S was one of things I was most looking forward to. Lovely guy and did a great job on the pub after a few years in the wilderness.

He was a proper pub landlord and always had a friendly welcome for me when I was in there pre-match. It won’t be the same without him and he will be a huge miss.

I didn't know him but he served me pints many times and you kind of thought that you knew him a bit and wanted to actually know him a lot. It's a manic bar on matchdays and as others have said he kept it moving, and usually fairly too. Such sad news. RIP Gerry. |  | | |
