Do you ever feel that the album you loved needed to be shown a lot more love?

‘Mess’ by Liars
Primal burst of ritualistic electronics that sacrifices self persecution for potent, purposeful abandon. (I know right?)

I just think its bloody clever. Smell my socks!

Midlake's 'The Trials of Van Occupanther'
I know there's a few of us on here love this album but it's criminally unknown.
Here's the opening track as posting youtube links to full albums doesn't work for me.

"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."

Random track from an album that doesn't have a duff track on it.

The Sound from the Lions Mouth

Massively under-rated band from the 80s. I see the NME took the same view a few years back. Interstingly, videos on youtube that used to have a few hundred views now have thousands so maybe they have been belatedly appreciated.

Indica 'Valoissa'.

Hämärää means 'Murk' in Finnish apparently.

I was a fan in my pre house days. I could never understand why they weren't bigger but looking back, they had a terrible, unmemorable name, a nothing image and Adrian Borland was quite introspective and not suited for the PR and promotion game. I didn't know he committed suicide in 1999, that wasn't a nice thing to learn.

A little more obscure than The Fratellis but an excellent album nonetheless. Fire Of Love by Gun Club.

Used to know the bloke who played bass on that. Haven't seen him for years but a quick google reveals that the Greedy Beat Syndicate s still going.

Mansun - Little Kix
An unashamedly pop driven album packed full of potential hits.

Maverick Sabre - Innerstanding (2015)

seems to have got lost amongst a wave of solo singers, but this guy has something to say, touching on relationships, social issues etc.

Rainbow's Down to Earth was an excellent album and spawned two of the best Rock songs of all time in Since You've Been Gone and All Night Long. But the album has some really great tracks like Lost in Hollywood and Makin Love. Graham Bonnet didn't hang around long in Rainbow and he may have looked a little out of place but he was a really really great if not underrated singer for this band.

Great album Brian.
Seen them at Reading or was it the V festival? twenty odd years ago .
They looked they'd escaped from hillbilly convention in Texas.
Great show as well or at least I think they did as I was ver.ver..very drunk at the time!

It's an unreal album, Paddy. And they really are cracking live.
