Possibly more acceptable. "The MCR Stadium" in a £50m, ten year deal might squeak past the authorities.

Just been told the MM deal is for 10 years and it's 3 years into the deal, no idea how much though. But could he step aside.

Fair enough if you live in the North West. Even then though, you’re only talking easier access to maybe one game a season against a minnow. I’d far rather forego that to have the likes of Wycombe or Stockport, who are never really going to be a threat to us, in the division.

The Stockport owner is worth a good few quid, so don’t rule them out in the near future.

But wouldn’t be able to spend it in the championship, much like Tyler Morse. They’d have to find some way of generating interest like Wrexham and I assume Birmingham have done with Tom Brady

Maybe, maybe not. The fact that the charges exist indicate that the FA do pay attention to this stuff. If Citeh get away with it, a "smaller" club might not. It's pretty ironic, but if there was a Swans mad Billionaire out there they'd probably be better off just sponsoring us rather than actually buying into the club.

I just don’t agree. How many matches do you think they’ll host? I’d guess Armenia every now again. Even if I lived nearby, I would prefer we had the best chance possible of top 6 to that.
Wrexham on 15:28 - May 21 with 503 views | theloneranger | "Football finance guru Kieran Maguire has praised Wrexham's economic strength, indicating they are poised to be competitive in the Championship next season. Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: "Wrexham made three times as much as any other club in League Two, more than any other club in League One and they would be in the top half of the Championship,". "Therefore they're not that far behind the Championship's big hitters – the likes of Stoke and Norwich. It's an incredible achievement in terms of bringing in money. It's also their ability to become an international brand which has really driven this." "I was teaching in Charlotte, North Carolina last year and the only shirts I saw were those of Wrexham, which is an amazing achievement and that's on the back of the documentary." Maguire also projected that Wrexham stand to gain an additional £8m in TV revenue from promotion to the second tier. "That would put them fairly close to all of the clubs except for those who will be in receipt of parachute payments in the Championship," he added."

That's all good and well having the money, it's how you do on the pitch that counts. Its a massive step up from league 1 to the championship, almost as big as the step up from the championship to the PL. I can't see them doing well next season, they will have to get at least 6-10 decent players and a better manager. I am far more confident in us finishing in the play offs than them.

Luton had a squad of players that had played in the Premier League plus parachute payments and went down. It's not what you have but how you use it.
