That was a bad miss. He had a read from Bryson but still didn't aim right of the hole. It'll take a hell of an effort now to regroup and win the play off.

You would have to make Justin the favourite now but think Rory deserves it.

The fact it's 2 Brits in the playoff in Trump's backyard make this better.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Can’t believe what I’m seeing.

Got money on Rory but I wouldn’t mind if Rose pulls this off.

He’s basically been playing against his own brain for 18 holes.

And 14 years.

It also doesn't help that the first play-off hole is the one Rory just messed up.

EDIT: He has the same approach shot. Unless Rose messes up, something tells me he won't be playing it so safe.

So glad he finally won the Masters to complete the Grand Slam. Great player who deserved it. Finally overcame the pressure he put on himself.

The drama of sport at this high level is why we love it. All human emotion on display. Paul McGinley summed it up very well on Sky. Well done Rory.

Didn’t realise it’s only him and Tiger who’ve managed the grand slam in the last sixty years.

Phenomenal achievement and shows how hard a game golf is.

I'm wrecked after watching that. I can't imagine how either Rory or Justin feel right now.

I think Paul McKinley spoke out of turn about Rory dividing opinion.I think he’s one of the most important golfers of modern times as he didn’t take the LIV shillings and stayed true to the principles of the game.

Sports personality of the year sorted. Brilliant drama where Rory won it, lost it, won it, lost it and finally got over the line. He deserved it but Rose came from nowhere to almost snatch it.

Hard to imagine the crushing pressure Rory was under it explains that high handicap hacker wedge at 13 to butcher that.Bogey on 14, Rose flying then a stunning iron on 15 ,miss the eagle Jesus it was all going haywire.
Rory's putting coach Brad Faxon just said on the GC that under intense pressure Rory pulls his puts and he did it on 15 and 18 and even the playoff it was dangerously close to the left as it disappeared .
Fair play to him ,congrats on the green jacket and Grand Slam he could go a Major winning streak now that the pessure valve has been opened

After finding water twice last Friday I'm well aware of how hard golf is!

Thought he had blown it. What an accomplishment. You could see 14 years of pressure release from his body when he made the putt. Reminded me a little of when Faldo won his 3rd Open in 92 and he thought he had lost it to Cook, only to win at the last and the emotion just released.
Thought my tip Aberg was going to come through at one point.
One of the immortals now with 5 others. Shirley will win more now. He has a good 10/15 years left.

Happy for him. An admirable man in so many ways, not least his refusal at a very young age to get involved in any sectarian nonsense. That took guts back then.
