Saito 19:50 - Apr 14 with 8126 views | connell10 | Possibly one of the best players to come in this season. He has just got better and better, skillful, aggressive and always trys his heart out. Add to that the fact he comes across as a lovely lad , I really hope we sign him permanently!! [Post edited 15 Apr 13:22]

Saito on 15:05 - Apr 15 with 3210 views | Superhoops2808 | As you know, he is my POTY because of his effort and entertainment and genuinely seems proud to wear the hoops - I do hope he signs, I think he loves it here, but another one that will depend on pour manager situation too I think

Third party ownership was banned in 2014.

it's not techincally 3rd party ownership just the same people own multiple clubs similar to the Pozzo family at Watford

The thing is nobody knows because the club has designed it that way. That leads to rumours, which leads to hope, and if we don't sign Saito will lead to real frustration. If we were told the story we'd understand the reasons why we can/cannot sign him, leaving us in the dark leaves a void, which needs to be filled by speculation.

Satio. on 14:22 - Apr 15 by DaBurgh | Is it normal to pay for a player out of contract? |
They will undoubtedly have an option for another year and if we don’t buy him will move him to another CFG club - they have a regular turnover of players moving between Troyes & Lommel for example whilst waiting for a buyer.

Are there EFL pitfalls to watch for when buying a player owned by a 3rd party?

As above, third party ownership is banned. Maybe Lommel have an option to extend, maybe they don't.

I thought we learnt that lesson when signing Ale Faurlin. I'm sure clubs have found a way round it by now though.
Saito on 20:18 - Apr 15 with 2220 views | DavieQPR | His contract expires 30th June after that no one will own him. He is on a reported £2000 per week wage at Lommel and we are paying him £6000. Therefore we have every chance of signing him if the computer says 'Yes'.
Saito on 21:01 - Apr 15 with 2105 views | aston_hoop | At the time we signed him, I remember one of the big football journos over in the low countries saying he was going to sign a new Lommel contract before we signed him. Did that not happen then? The out of contract stuff might have been out of date ages ago

Impressive that you know all this... Assuming it's correct, then unless he prefers being paid less in the Belgian second tier, he'll be made permanent.

Eh? That makes no sense whatsoever. He's on 2k per week under contract at his parent club, and we've got him on loan and have TRIPLED his wages?? How does that work?! Am I missing something here?

TBF, does sound like something we would do QPR, the club that shops of DFS when there isn't a sale on.

This is what qpr Japan told me when we first signed him

Saito on 22:52 - Apr 16 with 697 views | UPPERLOFTNZ | but please, FFS, can everyone pronounce his name correctly? it's "sigh-toe" with the O on 'toe' said short like on "top'. it's one of the most common Japanese surnames yet every single match someone says his name wrongly!
