Saints v Man City Thread on 19:24 - May 10 with 1770 views | dirk_doone | Beautiful day for a gritty, backs-to-the-wall defensive performance. Probably the best second half atmosphere of the season, with all parts of the ground singing. I'm glad I was there to see it and I left St Mary's with a big smile after that. Aaron Ramsdale was very good, as you'd expect, but a big shout out to the much-maligned Stephens and Bednarek central defensive partnership, who gave it their all and defended magnificently. Saints seem to play with much more team spirit under Simon Rusk than they did for the other managers this season. Up the Saints! [Post edited 10 May 19:25]

Saints v Man City Thread on 19:27 - May 10 with 1748 views | Southamptonfan | Really felt like a win today. F@ck, we didn't lose today. Can't remember the last time we got a result. Really enjoyed the celebrations at the end and being very loud in Brittannia road after the game around any City fans saying "Finally we found a team we could get a result from, easiest game we have had this season, we lose every week apart from today etc etc". It was a great performance, backs to the wall and full of fight. If only they played like that throughout the rest of the season. Great atmosphere. I saw and heard the very best of the red wall today. Big uplifting feeling all round. [Post edited 10 May 19:29]

Yeah spot on this post I see that stupid skate O hara has been shouting off again saying how embarrassing it was with saints players celebrating and fist pumping at the end. What a waste of space that bloke is. Well done Saints, I felt very proud yesterday walking back to the pub. | |
