First time I saw Alfie Tuck I said we have a player here.
Clearly needed to develop physically but his use of the football was superb.
He reminded me of a young Michael Carrick.

After the PL Cup Final and watching two 18yo central midfielders actually being able to complete passes more than 10 yds and also move it forward my confidence is definitely on the up. They even take the ball on the half turn and open their body shape. Revolutionary !

Yes it would be nice to know how bad Koki’s injury is and if he is doing ok?
Would also be nice to know if Xavi was coming back after flying straight out to Spain on the Monday after the Sunderland game ?
If not , it would be nice to say goodbye. None of that had anything to do with him (that’s presumption admittedly).
Would be nice to actually say goodbye to some of the players who will inevitably be released . Would be nice to know who ? Would be nice to hear from our multiple POTY , leaving or not.
But as said , it appears we are not allowed ‘nice’ things.
Or any knowledge whatsoever it seems .

Good listen. Agree on Varanne, in fact the best thing about him this season I felt was how much he progressed compared to those first couple of games where he was well off it. Seriously promising.
On the mighty midgets, I think Dembele does have it in him to be stronger and more aggressive - his little legs are like tree trunks.
And for Smyth, I'm sure there must be a stat for how many corners he won this season, which felt like a lot compared to other players and was at times his one and only attacking outlet (though the final ball has got a bit better). There's also his patent pending isosceles triangle dive which has been fairly successful if at times a hard watch. |  | | |
