Brian Barry Murphy - Cardiff Manager on 13:06 - Jun 12 with 4150 views | KeithHaynes | Swans spoke to him a few years back, had all the ideas but no player management skills answering assessment questions. This is common I’ve been told in younger managers / coaches ( not sure he has managed ) who have concentrated on academia and strategic employment of tactics. Best of luck to him, he will soon find out if he is up to it at such a big old third division club.

I remember feeling truly underwhelmed when Brendan Rodgers’s was appointed. That didn’t turn out quite as bad as I imagined😏😂

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Exactly, was gonna mention him, but he travelled Europe and did his apprenticeship learning off the best.

Brian Barry Murphy - Cardiff Manager on 20:56 - Jun 12 with 3596 views | Dr_Winston | In his one permanent job as a head coach he took a club that had been a fixture of League Two into the non league abyss. In his most high profile coaching role since, he was the #2 of a Leicester side who came awfully close to making Russell Martin look good. It's possible that neither of these things were his fault, but if my parents were unmarried and I was a Cardiff fan I'd be exceedingly concerned about this appointment.

Brian Barry Murphy - Cardiff Manager on 15:28 - Jun 13 with 3043 views | ReslovenSwan1 | If I was Tan I would concentrate on their youngsters. Bellamy rates a few of them. Kiakpo, Lawler, Giles, Joel Colwill Ashford. Other more experienced players like Bagan and Rubin Colwill Isaak Davies all have high ceilings..

They are a strange lot. Went on their website recently and it’s absolutely hilarious the rubbish some of them are coming out with. One said they ‘demand they get promoted at the first attempt’, one reply was ‘it’s not going to be easy as it’s the cup final for all the other teams in the league playing against a massive club. Another was warning the supporters to be careful as these smaller clubs hoolies will want to claim a victory against a big club. They’ve also heard that a billionaire is interested in buying either Millwall or Southampton and they couldn’t understand why he wasn’t interested in them considering they were bigger them both of those clubs. There’s so many others but it’s impossible to remember them all.

Most of them have spent their entire lives being told by the Welsh media and Government that they're special instead of just a bog standard regional administrative centre. It's hard breaking programming like that and coming to accept what for them is the unpalatable truth; They're not an especially remarkable city, they're not an especially remarkable football club. Given how shambolic their Summer has been so far many other clubs will be seeing them as a potential easy three points rather than a scalp.

He’s tickling the natives’ tums, nothing more. Getting them on side by pretending to understand the rivalry. They seem to think they are a big club but what they base this ridiculous assumption on I have absolutely no idea.

Just another team that play in blue - run of the mill and nondescript. Apart from the howler by the Rhondda born Arsenal goalkeeper which could be investigated for match fixing all they would have is a few Welsh cups won against a small pool of other pro clubs. It’s really stark when I think of Bristol City - a club in a much bigger place whose fans have no such delusions pre programmed into them. At least with us we won the league cup fairly recently and had 7 consecutive seasons in the PL, play in white so a bit more originality and we stand out a little more. I don’t consider us anything more than a decent sized championship club who have punched above our weight but also had spells in the doldrums too. But when people (especially foreigners) think of Welsh football we are the team that’s remembered.
