Disgusting pair of bastards, one of whom has decided to prove his love of the other by giving him a bloody medal for his efforts before during and after the 2022 world cup In Qatar,
Beckham was reportedly paid somewhere in between £100 Million and £125 Million for his ambassadorial work (work?)
Lo and behold I'm looking down the list of who else has been awarded one of these disgusting medals and my brain exploded when I saw the name Tess Daly, as If the pot bellied pig doesn't earn enough money she now It seems needs a medal from that God awful king.

I don't know the names of any people who work In soup kitchens, I do know that none of them will be on this list of royal piggies.

We have a small church here and every Wednesday volunteers turn up, set up table and chairs and cook homeless people roast dinners, these are the people who I can relate to.

If by chance you should bump into Beckhams dreadful talentless, poe faced wife when your next In Lidl's you must address her as Lady Beckham.

Instead of moaning, why don't you get off your lazy fat arse and do something beyond posting on a forum for dysfunctional fans of a historically dysfunctional football club!

Why not organise a revolution? Arguably, the seeds of discontent have not only been planted and germinated for you, the green shoots of rebellion are popping up. Alternatively, write to the relevant authorities and nominate people you believe should be rewarded.

And don't give me that:'I'm an old man' bollix! Ho Chi Minh was sticking to the man in his 70s; Mandela was 76 when he became president; Ghandhi took a bullet when he was nearly 80; and FFS, Sandro was 87 when he made his debut for the Rangers!

We're right behind you Edward. It's your time!

My missus quite fancied Beckham back in the day and then , in her words . He opened his mouth and spoiled it all . She thought he sounded like a cockney Micky Mouse.
Not really a Royalist or a Beckham fan. By the way has Kevin Sinfield got his yet?

Apparently, you have to wait a certain number of years before a knighthood is issued.

King Charles went into a quaint Devon tea shop and ordered afternoon tea.
“For one sir?” Said the lady
“Yes, for me” said Charles.

I wouldn't worry too much about the actions of a man who considered Jimmy Saville a mentor.

I mean, I'm not into the monarchy anyway, but the idea that people consider this man their 'King' is quite mind blowing to me.

Hopefully not 55 years, like the great Sir Billy Boston...

Still does his own shopping at Tesco, 90, and 10 years into dementia; still causes a trolley jam down the frozen aisle with people stopping to wish him well. Nicest man you could hope to meet.

All royalty should have been discarded in the dustbin of history centuries ago. The notion of 'The Divine Right of Kings' more or less remains. And what a terrible idea it is.

I really don't think the general public believe in the divine right of Kings.
Certain dictators of republics seem bo believe in their divine rights, though.

I wish we saw more of the every day people that get awards get airtime. It may balance the overwhelming feeling that if you do enough as a celebrity you get honoured. I have no problem with Becks getting a knighthood but I do find it weird that they waited until he basically lives in America to do it.

Celebrate the unknown people who do amazing things media!

Never knowingly right.

It's a three year wait for the upgrade between honours.

I agree, although given the spectacle of the recent coronation of King Charles, it's a wonder why people don't raise this question a little more often.

And as for republican dictators believing in their divine right, there's certainly one that comes to mind.

It does say in both articles that Charles didn’t know about his crimes at the time he was using Savile as an advisor, but neither did we.
If only people had been believed while the vermin was still alive.

I dunno mate, that close, in awe of and protective about a paedophile that prolific and he had no idea!? Can you imagine how thorough the secret service Royal Protection division are about absolutely anyone who gets near them, the in depth checking, snooping and looking for skeletons they would do on someone who gets to spend that much time behind closed Royal Doors. Saville's crimes were widely known in the entertainment industry, the idea that the future King Of England and a whole division of MI5 or whoever runs Royal protection didn't know feels impossibly naive to me. He was a constant, prolific, disgusting criminal who miraculously escaped any investigations, consequences, charges etc. That takes a bit of help.

There were plenty who knew about Saville back then. I was reading about him being a paedo with undue influence and connection to the Royals back in the early 90's.

But when the full weight of the establishment in all of its many forms is looking to block public awareness of any particular person, event, situation etc it is, and always has been, extremely efficient at curating mass opinion in the direction it desires.

Charles - Saville, Andrew - Epstein. Two brothers ending up best mates with two of the world's most notorious Paedophiles (and paedophile ring enablers). What are the odds? I blame the parents!

Maybe you’re right and maybe you’re wrong. Its something we’ll never find out how much was known about Savile while he was still alive, and that is a shame that it took him dying for people to be believed.

You're probably correct that most people don't believe in the divine right of kings.
The king himself certainly does!
Look at hhe embarrassing hocus pocus that went on at his coronation.
