A Kingfisher flew past me at work when I was hand feeding the ducks.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Where was that Mick? I think you’re in Hillingdon same as me so would be interested to know where you saw it.

First coffee of the day.

The atmosphere of the ground during night games, especially in deepest darkest winter - probably not a small joy. So many things I love about.

Indeed, for there's not much in the way of racecourses or county cricket grounds out that way.

At work, John. I work in a garden centre in Bourne End which has a little river feeding from The Thames, so we are blessed with all sorts of wildlife. The ducks are semi-tame as they hang around the cafe.

Yeah, I’m in Hillingdon, mate. Harlington Road.

Great place to work is Bourne End.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

More goals than the other team
More shots on target than off target
No foul throws
Playing like it means something before we go 2-0 down
Decent refs
Pulling on a blue and white hooped shirt, knowing I'll never play for them but loving the team and the badge nonetheless
Not losing
and the back of Lesley's knees when I was 10!

Sitting down on the sofa after getting the kids to bed.

Getting 6 hours of consecutive sleep when it very occasionally happens.

As Joe said, the first coffee of the day.

Without wanting to be sycophantic, reading the LFW match report after a win.

And also a shout out for the first coffee of the day. And the first beer around 11.30am on the beach on holiday.

I once found a kingfisher in, of all places, a Tesco car park (it did back onto a canal). It was just lying on the ground, (in hindsight I think it must have flown into a car and got stunned) so I carried it over to a grass verge, when it suddenly came to and flew off.

Anyway, for a few minutes I had this thing in my hands. The most beautiful living creature I've ever seen close to.

Watching my two black Labs sleep and dream after a great sunny day that involves an early morning long walk then a marrow bone for half an hour in the afternoon
Don’t need a television

As the Band AKA sang “You got to get some joy into your life”
Christ I need some at the moment

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

We was with the two Grandchildren on Sunday just gone.

Nothing comes close to that.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Laughing your head off with your mates
Dancing to banging tunes
Crying at happy/sad films
Eating a top meal
Glass of smooth red
Having a beautiful beach to yourself
A baby cracking up
Watching QPR score a top goal (Ebs, Jimmy. Trevor etc.)
A boat trip
Having your feet massaged

When one of the children says I love you Dad out of the blue. Talking to my old man about Rangers, golf or work on the blower. When the hoddy waters the boards down!!

Sitting down with a cuppa after morning walkies and our dog jumping up on my lap. Like now.

Watching a swan take off. So clumsy and then so graceful.

I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.
