Gyokeres , eh on 08:27 - Jul 7 by vetchonian | Cooper jumped ship because he was let down by the interference of Kaplan and Levian sending him two crocked Americans in Arriola and Morris when we were on the brink of promotion and needing some reinforcment. Thats why Cooper walked and he left Martin with Piroe without whom Martin woukd have been sussed far earlier. Cooper has been the only manager so far since relegation to get us anywhere near getting back to the PL...Im sure he would have enjoyed getting us promoted and then managing us in the PL not looking at us as a stepping stone. Jack 247 talks some sense...and Gyorkes wasnt evdn.our player....It isnt the forst time a manager has discarded a player remebmer Johm Bond allowed a certsin Dean Saunders to leave on a free...who later commanded a £1M fee and also went on to play for Liverpool...hoe we could have done with either thay fee or his skills back then |
If nothing else, it shows how football makes mugs out of us all Guehi got stick at first said Conor Gallagher MGW not around long enough What a three they were Just htf haven't we been promoted with some of the players we've had. Little ol Swansea my arse

If MGW had stayed fit and we had got a quality striker in January we would have had a good chance of going up Instead we got lumbered with the 2 Americans and Gibbs White didn't play again

We might just have been if Gibbs-White hadn’t got injured. He could have been that one player who turns a functional team into a successful one.

Morris was a good fast player who featured in the World club championship. He was. "Crocked Yank" to fans. MGW was just "unlucky" . US people backed Cooper. Scott probably unearthed Gyokeres. He had to be thrown in. With luck MGW Ayew Gyorkeres was a winning ticket.. The US ownership was unlucky at Swansea and do not get a fair deal off fans due to the fake "Trust" issue. The next superstar to turn up raw and strong will be given no time according to your dim outlook. . It is the job of FOOTBALL PEOPLE to send potential. Cooper saw it but did not act . Robbins saw it and did. If Robbins was Swansea manager he would have a long term view and SCFC would have been £20-£35m better off. Cooper had Guehi MGW and Gyorkeres to work with and he cannot complain about his lot. But he sulked anyway. There of Europes finest to talents. Fans blane Levien for not backing him. He walked away from his contract with Piroe on his way. He has since wasted 10s of £ millions in the wastefest which is the Premier league.

How many times do you need this explained? Cooper was brought in BECAUSE he could get us loan players like Guehi, MGW, Brewster etc. They weren’t ‘given’ to him by Levein. Levein and Kaplan deliberately appointed a manager with access to future stars We weren’t trying to develop players that season, we were busting a gut to get promoted. If we were looking to develop, we wouldn’t have stacked the squad with loan players we were never going to be able to buy. Despite him getting us to the playoffs twice, I hated Coopers football and wasn’t disappointed when he left. To blame him for not developing a Brighton player at the expense of our promotion charge though, is a bit silly at best.

Brighton made a mistake letting him go and Swansea did not take advantage onwith 6 months to assess him. Coventry did take advantage of him and aes£30m+ better off. All the rest are excuses. Morris at least was seriously rapid. He was not a crock anymore then MGW was. That is your spin. US people are not to blame for WGW and Morris getting ins injured. Morris has a good injury record in the US recently. I contest lazy narratives by the lazy group who call me out as you would expect. Levien did well by Swans fans and took a $$$$ hit. Something Tan is not prepared to do. He lobbed £500k to ths useless fans group who are considering some new murals perhaps? [Post edited 7 Jul 16:26]

Gyokeres , eh on 17:39 - Jul 7 with 511 views | Martyn | Looks like 19 of his 39 goals this season were penalties. I dont think he will be able to make the step up to the premiere league. Certainly not a top club like Arsenal. We will see. I mean. Big guns like Arsenal paying big money want a 20 goal a season striker. Championship with 46 games a season not 38 - 20% more games 21/22 45G 17 goals 22/23 46G 21 goals Portugese League - not a top 5 league 23/24 33G 29 goals (12 penalties) 24/25 33G 39 goals (19 penalties) So he just about makes 20 goals a season in weaker leagues. Dont see him scoring 20 a season in the Prem Lge

Gyokeres , eh on 18:51 - Jul 6 by ReslovenSwan1 | Cooper rated him but chose not to develop him. He saw him everyday in training and knew he had some Covid issues too. He is the expert not me. He should have been signed but was handed over to Coventry Bad bad management. Levien handed him on a plate. Levien it is argued did not do anything right because he is American. Cooper walked away from a potential front two of Gyorkeres and Piroe "because he did not get the backing". He wanted Keinan Davis. who? He sulked. |
Levien's biggest errors was failing to hold onto Mr Jenkins and Mr Birch.
