He is currently available for a song and still in his prime. You wiill no doubt tell me he is not good enough.
The problem was Cooper was not interested in 18 months hence. He was on his way if not promoted and did not care about Swansea. He put his house on promotion which is never a good plan. He lost interest because he was not minded to build anything. He used I his lin ks to bring in loans for 6 months. His permanent signings were terrible and he was looking for a quick fix.
He could have build Swansea up and could have developed Gyorkeres and Piroe as a front two the following summer. When things go wrong fan focus on the owners.
Swansea got to the PL with patience. Brentford had Franck who was loyal and built slowly while trading well.
Cooper could not do what Frank did at Brentford as was looking for a quick fix. Frank is at Spurs and Cooper is unemployed. | |

maybe he was focused on promotion as thats what he was briefed to do only for those owners to give him two players who had hardly played due to injury issues ,two players from the MLS much inferior to the standars of the Championship.
In fairness Cooper got us close to returning to rhe PL twice the only manager since relegation to do so...amd then his his third season of management took a side who were im the relegarion zone to promotiion . That was a while ago we have had 3 managers since and neither got us as close as Cooper.

Cooper took Forest from the bottom three to promotion in his first season. The main reason being that the Forest board at the time made the correct strategic decisions on and off the pitch. | | | |
