Little Happening On The Transfer Front 09:43 - Jul 12 with 1288 viewsSaintNick

The only thing really of note is that we might see Arron Ramsdale move to Sunderland & Viktor Johansson who had two decent games against Saints 2 years ago for Rotherham is a target for us.

Otherwise it is the usual early July transfer stand off.

One headliine on the news feed reads "Is a hand drafted Will still valid" this has flagged up as a Saints related story, however turns out it is a story about writing your own will with a pen.

If you were a Palace, Bournemouth, Wolves, Brentford, Fulham fan etc how many of our players would you be happy with ?

I can’t think of many to be honest Ramsdale , Fernandez maybe but that’s about it. Harwood Bellis at a push but not at the value Saints would probably want.

Perhaps more will go abroad but as we found out that not many foreign clubs want to pay the price we may want.

Victor Johansson????

Really?

Now THAT would be a potential Championship-winning signing.

Great keeper.

Probably my biggest concern at the moment is the keeper position

With Rambo going we will be left with McCarthy who is probably past it or Bazunu who never had it

Just realised who Jahansson is. Hopefully we get him

Why on earth would Ramsdale wish to go to Sunderland other than money ?

Suggested he has recently become married and lives in Sandbanks.

Perhaps to add another relegation to his CV ?

Relegated from the Premier League four times with Bournemouth,Sheffield Utd, Southampton and almost certainly Sunderland.

That’s one hell of a record for a supposed top flight keeper.

Like last year his options seem to be limited to the promoted clubs. Apparently Bournemouth are signing the Chelsea keeper for more than Ragsdale. Newcastle are after Trafford which means Pope could be a solid cheap option for Leeds. Not sure he will be on his way despite his England aspirations and Saints desperate to get their money back.

We should have signed Johansen last summer

No, because the Sports Republic doughnuts think that Bazunu is good enough as our first choice when every man and his dog can see that isn’t the case.

Most likely he will end up being our goalkeeper. In the fantasy world of SR, they hope he will get good and one day they can make a profit. He will cost us goals. We will be the wrong side of the many fine lines this season.
