reckon we might have to sign a striker..

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

At least Vale looks good but we're still not very good at playing it out from the back.

Do you mean injured? They wouldn't play him if he was.

We seem to have a few out today with 'minor knocks.'

No I mean conditioning, looks out of shape?

Only 1 positive

Harvey Vale seems composed on the ball when receiving it and finds the out ball.

2 positives sorry - we just scored

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

I reckon 6 or 7 of these start on the opening day - Nardi, Mbengue, Cook, Larkeche, Field, Poku, Dembele(maybe)

I doubt very much if Poku , Dembele Vale & Chair all start. Nardi will not start as first choice.
Cook will only start if other CBs are injured. Sutton be a bench player .

I am more concerned about this playing it out from the back malarkey.

They wouldn't play him if so as you are more likely to pick up an injury.

A more worrying thought is that this is as fit as Cook will ever be now?

Field is a wonderful DM. Can run all day and tackle like an animal. What he will never be though is someone to receive the ball, turn and punch it forward. It's not his game and if we are playing with a 2 man midfield behind a '10' we are going to struggle a lot this season

Field does not suit this system at all. I feel like he's not technical enough to play out from the back, and he can't do all the covering himself.

Therefore 2 Man midfield found out again in first 25 mins

No recognised striker, Sutton can't do much if anything

Especially that 2nd pass from CB to RB. It seems like we are playing the same opening move each time the ball is at Nardi’s feet.

Cardiff swamping the right back in a press and if he hangs on to it for too long he loses it. Otherwise rush pass back under pressure and CB launches it and possession is turned over.

Another example was RB panics under pressure and sends a hospital pass across field to Larkeshe to try and bring down under pressure.

When Field is on the ball it looks like someone has tied his laces together.

Not many positives from that half, Vale, Dembele and Mbengue at least look to be doing their job.

Both FBs look poor, Richards looks off the pace, Cook looks very slow and Field struggling again with the ball at his feet.

Poll: How is Nourry cooking so far ? 🤣

Poor 2nd goal.....may have been a decent strike but ffs shu the ball down and stop backing off!!!!

Some poor performances in that half and a stark contrast to the last game.

I don't understand why they're going long when we have our tiny bods up front. The ball just comes straight back.

It is something of a scratch side though that we'll never see once the season starts. Maybe some changes in the second will freshen things up.

This all has a very familiar feeling to last pre-season where we were trying too much and inevitably after 12 games we have to go more direct

Appreciate this wont look like the team on the 9th Aug though! Well I hope!

Lots, and lots and lots of stuff we already knew.

Straight into p*ssballing about with the ball at the back. Slightly worrisome if we're going to persist with this as it doesn't seem to suit any of the players the gaffer's tried it with so far

Shit but local

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

No centre forward inevitably means the ball will not be held up when booted long.
Field is not a deep lying midfielder to receive a pass and then bring ur out.
The full backs do not look good enough to start in the Championship.

Maybe this is a ploy to let Nourry know that Stephan needs more new signings.
