Slack Jack is at it again. 12:30 - Jul 26 with 2595 viewsGRIM

Slack Jack gives away a penalty in today's friendly.
He can always be relied upon to help the opposition.

Keep doing the same things, playing the same players, you get the same results. It really is tiresome.

A good goal from Downs, but apart from that very little in attack, defensive errors, and not very convincing again. We have a bloated squad of players, dross from last season that we can't get rid of.

I saw someone post today that Stephens had contributed to every goal this pre-season scored by the opposition. What amazing consistency. You certainly know what to expect when he plays.

We no longer have a team, we just have a very large squad of very average players.
Unless WS can get them to gel as a team then I think this coming season will be a dire as last season.
I think we'll be lucky to finish mid table.
But I'll be more than delighted if they prove me wrong.

Please, somebody burn the stadiun down. It is the only way to stop Pompey from destroying us at home this season.

Didn't they bring Spors in to sort out the football side of things?
If he sanctioned the awarding of Stephens a new 3 year contract and making the fu cking idiot captain also, then the levels of incompetence in this football club are beyond belief.

If we're not losing with 20 minutes left, Smallbone will be brought on to ensure that we do. We saw that happen so many times last season and it looks like it's set to continue.

Sadly, yes. This lot are the most over hyped set of no hopers I have ever seen wearing boots. Any thought of promotion seems completely delusional to me. SR have ruined SFC and it is dying a slow death. It feels like watching British Leyland's last years; You know the end is coming and you almost wish you could turn the life support off.

Spors, Wilcox, or Mr Blobby, they are all working under the same owners who say "Make us a profit on young players, but you won't have any money to buy proven quality." So Stephens it is. Nothing will change with these owners. I've been saying it for years, yet people keep thinking things will change.

His retention and the fact he is still playing sums us up as a club and where we are
Complete lunacy

I agree, nothing will change with this shower of dickheads.

It'll be back to the last days of Rupert Lowe, with crowds of 14,000 and declining.

So sad to see such a great club in the hands of such incompetence.

Just guessing but I reckon the ones that don’t want to be here

Bednarek
Harwood Bellis
Dibling
Aribo
BElla Kotchap
Possibly Fernandes
Ramsdale

Poll: Would you take an Fa Cup win if it meant relegation to the championship ?

I think you can add a few to that list.
Including Ryan Fraser + Brereton Diaz + Shea Charles.
Not sure any of the squad are looking forward to playing this season.
The club is in chaos.

Why would you add those three ? . Do you think they are going to get a better offer than Saints ?

Those not on the list are a bigger threat to us than those who want to leave:
Slack Jack
Bazunu
and that Scottish bloke who's always broken.

Nailed on for relegation again and no Markus to save us this time.

Whilst not totally surprised (but disappointed) Stephens was given a new contract, and 3 years as well, it was the speed at which it was all agreed.

It was agreed before any of the pre-season friendlies, where he has continued the errors. What was the urgency ? Why couldn't WS wait until at least watching him in action and then decide. It's not as if we had to sign him quick to stop the clubs poaching him.

We should have let him go and given his salary to Fernandes to try and keep him.

Go back in time and replace Jack with Russell Martin - absolutely no need.

Still, we should see at least a few more wins this year

Ah, but that's all logical and correct, but it's what WE all want, so they'll ignore that completely.

Enough said about slack jack definitely a joke giving him new contact but a lot of fans having a pop at Ryan F but he has got his head down and working really hard for a place in the team and he is very good at championship lever did well last time.

It’s all Mind blowingly obvious but yet again here we are
Is it really the owners? We made the same errors under GAO
I hate to use Stephen’s as the scapegoat but he has been endlessly playing season after season performing at the same poor level yet always getting picked under different managers? Why?
As Bertrand said in his interview Hassenhuttl thought he knew best and no one could say otherwise
I imagine Martin was the same if not worse
But who actions such poor signings?
It’s so boring how we can keep making the same poor decisions over and over

Well if results continue as they did last season, they'll get the inevitable drop in attendances, which is exactly what they'll deserve.

It's like someone continuously selling you a third rate product until you say 'fu ck this' and go elsewhere.
