Kaelan Casey : A sensible option 10:36 - Aug 3 with 5032 viewsKeithHaynes

Looking at the niggle Ben Cabango has that has kept him out all pre season it’s a sensible choice to loan him for me. I know the Swans are targeting permanent transfers but there’s no sense in signing another centre back as he won’t feature once we are back to full strength. Waste of money.

He will have to make one hell of an impact to retain his place though.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Jay Fulton made 33 league appearances in the 18/19 season playing for Graham Potter, the most Rodgers/Laudrup coach we've had since either of them.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He probably doesn’t remember the goal from the halfway line

From memory he scored around 15 goals that season. Had a big bust up with Jenkins over the lack of a new contract offer and was eventually kept out of the team towards the end of the season because of the sparkling form of steven dobbie.

To say he wasn’t fancied by Brendan though is laughable.

Poll: We all dream of a managerial team of Alan Tates?

I don’t think he was even left out of the team as such. He was used tactically as an impact sub, much like Andy Robinson was a few years earlier.

Technically he didn’t start I know, but we all knew he was coming on.

Fulton would never been in a Brendan or Laudrup team. Pratley was a far better player but was not favoured by Brendan as he was not slick enough. By those standard Fulton is slow and clumsy. Cooper liked him but his teams were robotic and full of friction.

Fulton represent the decline of Swansea from slick nimble fast football to slow football full of friction. It reached its low point i with Duff /Williams surrenders and CCS where even Cardiff over ran Swnsea with Grimes and Fulton slowing down the tempo continually.

He has some value in causing chaos and breaking up play late on protecting a lead perhaps by making games messy. You do not pay big wages for that. Franco can do this but is much sharper.

Prately played 41 games under Brendan in the 2010/11 season....? so I am unsure how you can define "he was not favoured".

Making a fool of yourself again, Pratley this time

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game
Poll: Happy to see Martin go

So is Casey coming on loan. Nothing on our OS, West Ham pulled their statement why? Did West Ham jump the gun and it still has to be agreed?

Maybe we're planning a double announcement and asked them to hold off.

Really nice & promising report (Sunday, 3 Aug) from Hammers News regarding Swans newest addition, Kaelan Casey.
Here's the link to the full report:
https://www.hammers.news/news/jean-clair-todibo-names-west-hams-top-young-star-a

Here are some of the report's quotes:

But one Irons youngster in particular has caught the eye of a key first team star. Jean-Clair Todibo has named West Ham’s top young star and is even tipping him for an England call-up. Because Todibo says Casey has seriously impressed him.

And despite not being the quickest defender around, Todibo believes Casey will go on to play at the highest level with his country. “For me, it’s Kaelan Casey (the young player who has impressed most),” Todibo told Anton Ferdinand in a new interview on West Ham’s YouTube channel.

“But (not just now) since last year when I arrived here and he started to train with us.
“He has impressed me a lot, I love this guy. First of all he’s a good guy, a good human being and as a footballer I think he has all the qualities to go and make a big, big career, without any doubt.” And Todibo appeared to suggest Casey going out on loan will be the making of a future West Ham and England star.

We may have another Guehi-type star in the making! Excited!

It wouldn’t be forwards so I assume the back of the net.
