Absolutely gutted for the lad.
The only olive branch is that Faurlin suffered 3 of them I seem to remember.
He would have been an amazing player had he not had those but again, in between he was still one of the best and most elegant midfielder we had in recent years and one of the very few who linked defence and attack so easily.
So Lackeche will hopefully come through this and can make his mark still. He's young enough. Let's hope. |  |

Sadly some players are blighted by consistent and long term injury problems..
We seem to be amazingly adept at signing most of them.
I saw the two home friendlies and felt he lacked a bit of control and composure. The club seemed to want to back him and a few games in, i guess things could have clicked.

It’s is awful, that’s a long painful recovery even with keyhole.
I guess it forces the LB issue too because we can’t start without cover - again. We got lucky with Paal’s availability but I get the impression we won’t have the same luxury this year. |  |

I hope Vale isn't being considered to play LB. I wasn't impressed with him at LB v Plymouth. He may have played there a dozen times for the Gas two years ago, but it doesn't appear to be his natural position.

I feel for him. No injury is pleasant but the timing of this one, just ahead of what was potentially his breakout season as a first team regular, is particularly nasty. He must be devastated. I really hope he can come back from this and make a full recovery. |  |

Esquerdinha is 18, already had a 'homesick' episode on x, has 1 Championship appearance, looks great going forward, defensively had a lot to learn.
