We look lethargic and leggy Edwards Williams and Lisbie must come on now

CUFC v CUFC at the JCS tonight on 21:45 - Aug 19 with 558 views | wessex_exile | Sorry to say we lost to the better side, but only because of a lack of concentration at the end of the first half. Still gives us a marker for where we have to be if we want to challenge for promotion. On to the game against Bromley, need better things.

CUFC v CUFC at the JCS tonight on 22:27 - Aug 19 with 490 views | MarkyMark47 | We gave away numerous corners and free kicks in dangerous areas. They threatened to score with headers from set pieces, so the second goal came as no surprise. What was surprising and disappointing was the free kicks that came from mistakes from senior players, especially the one from Payne. Not clearing the ball is such a basic error. He will of course know that. We struggled defensively throughout the first half. KVY looked especially poor, and I thought Powell was unlucky not to start. He made a difference as soon as he came on. Lisbie looks infinitely more dangerous than Tovide. Cambridge got away with a lot of shirt pulling throughout the game, but we can't blame the referee. Hopefully we can bounce back on Saturday.

Not going to dispute Cambridge were the much better side but tonight our management team need to take the balme. Straight from the start our starting XI was strange and a number of players just did not perform. I have no idea why we made so many changes to the team after a victory the previous Saturday Powell should have started at left back with KVY at right back to provide better balance although tonight KVY was disappointing. Thorn - not yet good enough to start. He is an impact player from subs bench. Looked poor tonight Lisbie frightens teams with his pace. Is it time for him to start a few games? Also, although not a fan of punting ball down field into corners from centre, it is most disheartening to watch three attempts go out for a goal kick. Can't our players direct a ball to say with 3-5 metres of corner flag? Tonights sponsors were Cambridge Windows and fair to say they have a sense of humour with Hunt named MOTM
CUFC v CUFC at the JCS tonight on 07:43 - Aug 20 with 274 views | Daniel | Agree with all the comments so far, so I'll throw in some positives. The pitch - it's the best I've ever seen it. It was 'stitched' over the last fortnight and that's perfected it. There wasn't a single divot come the end of the game. Dom Gape - it thought he impressed when he came on. He was everywhere and fighting for the ball. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Always good to have some positives! There was also the beginnings of an understanding between Powell and Edwards. Edwards has been struggling without the supply from Iandolo, but he did better last night in combination with Powell. Certainly better than the supply from KVY or Hunt.

Btw, I know it’s Barrow - keep doing that for some reason.

CUFC v CUFC at the JCS tonight on 09:16 - Aug 20 with 196 views | bwildered | Going in at half time after just taking the lead from being a goal down early was the great motivator for them. Their work rate was excellent and played to the strengths of being disruptive and set piece based . On that performance one wonders why they got relegated last season, but play like that throughout the season an automatic position looks very likely . We played no better second half, consistently could not get decent ball on the break and got penned in. Gave to many free kicks away because of their work rate in breaking us down, struggling for time and space . They won far too many headers from corners, so not surprised when we conceded a second . Powell looked comfortable and Tovide isolated, though had his own battle. Worry is had our three prime midfielders playing became ineffective .

CUFC v CUFC at the JCS tonight on 16:59 - Aug 20 with 36 views | MarkyMark47 | Just watched the post match interview with DC. He referred to Samson as "incredible". He must have been watching a different game to the one I saw from the East Stand! It was like watching a wrestling match whenever Tovide was involved. I know defenders do that to him, and there was a lot of shirt pulling and grappling, but he struggled to find a way through that, other than doing the same himself. By contrast, Lisbie looked fast, dynamic and skilful, and he clearly rattled their defenders, who were content to just put the ball in touch. And yet no mention of him by DC.

Would do Samson no harm in watching a Cyrille Regis video .

CUFC v CUFC at the JCS tonight on 18:19 - Aug 20 with 1 views | Daniel | My view in the South was the same as yours in the East. Samson was back to his frustration self, more interested in wrestling with the opposition and rolling on the floor than trying to win the ball. The sooner we can cash in the better!
