archer scored plenty pre season and now tonight but AA has been picked ahead of him, why?

Im not sure, I think because Armstrong is a better & stronger hold up player . Downs has only just arrived and Stewart has been Ill so we were a bit lightweight up front.

Matt Le Tissier made a career of picking up a loose ball and with one pass creating a goal, back then we celebrated it, it seems that tonight many have come hoping to be able to criticise certain players and not praise them.

I am hoping that Quarshie & Edwards have good games, that Roerslev looks like a good signing, that Ross Stewart starts to repay his transfer fee and that Cameron Archer shows why Martin & Juric were wrong to ignore him

Personally I am also hoping for a good win that boosts the confidence and puts some players in the frame for a start on Saturday

We are playing Norwich reserves ffs , according to AI there team cost less than Cameron Archer.

And are you really comparing Ross Stewart to Matt Lettisier. Thats hilarious.

So on this showing who would you pick for saturday? Mccarthy with potentially his 2nd clean sheet of the season?

I think secretly all on here would like that, but we shall see where we end up. I'll also be happy to see the score remain as is at the final whistle!!

yes & Norwich Reserves are playing Southampton Reserves

If you read hat I say and don't look for the negatives in everything about the team, I din't compare Ross Stewart to Matt Le Tissier, I just said that when Le Tiss made a quick pass we praised it for what it was we didn't say he was lucky because the opposition gave him the ball.

While I typed this Norwich Reserves went two goals down,

Fraser deserves that goal, he’s had an excellent start to the season.

Kinnel, now 2-0 up!! Doesn't matter if it is against a weakened opposition. A win is a win - just half hour to maintain that lead

Norwich made 9 changes and we made 7. The team we put out cost 5times what theres does and we have 80mill of "talent" on the bench.

Nothing Stewart does is quick, hes like a bambi on ice.

You havent been negative about the club since Nasty Nic left.

Archer looked a good finisher last season (good finish at Arsenal), but he dosent chase down like Armstong and cant hold the ball up. I guess if he had those facets to his game he wouldnt be at Saints.

I have been negative about the club many times since Cortese left, I have been knocking on that the club havent signed a leader for the last 6 -7 years, I bearated Sport Republic for not replacing Jason Wilcox for nearly a year, something that cost us dearly as Martin ran his own agenda and effectively got us relegated long before he was sacked, I berated Sport Republic for not sacking Martin.

I have taken the club to task on ticket prices and other issues.

What I dont do though is blame them for everything

Sesay is on we have played some good football in the last 10 mins you can see the confidence returning.

Yes its Norwich reserves, but you can only play what is in front of you, but it still gives players confidence

You must be joking. If AA is there for his hold up play then God help us.

The reason he's been picked is no doubt because he's the best we have at pressing which is a priority for WS.

Lots of positives in that second half. Still not entirely convinced about our defence but good to see Saints playing the ball forward quickly and players having a go at taking players on. Ok Norwich were poor but there was something to see in that performance.

He also seems a bit overweight and a bit slow. Perhaps understandable because of lack of game time but he does train with the others. I remember him being much sharper when he played for Sheff Utd. Anyway, praise for the goal deserved. Come on Cameron , sharpen up, you can do it.

Dodgy defensively for 25 mins then took control .

Good all round performance.

I thought Roeslev looked good .

Archer and Stewart look a good pair up front and should start against Watford.

Honourable mentions to McCarthy , Quarshie , Charles and Fraser.
