Have to mention this though from the predictions section :
“Rumours that the teams will be running out onto the pitch to the strains of 'Warning' by 'Green Day' at Saturday lunchtime may yet prove to be unsubstantiated. Not that you'd be able to hear anything in the Upper Loft anyway without a major upgrade to the P.A. system - 1 million sovs to you, guv'nor, cost-price and I'm not making a penny.”
Now, I’ve been a front of many of the loudest rock bands to ever plug in to a P.A. I even played in one for the best part of 30 years , hauling huge rigs into venues large and small …….but I’ve never , ever heard anything louder than the single public announcement speaker above JU block .
It’s ball splittingly loud . Deafening .
To the point where my son and are standing next to each other at half time at the Preston game , so close that our arms are brushing against each other due to the close proximity of the bloody seats and yet to talk , we have to text each other . It’s beyond madness .
Yet all I read is people saying they can’t hear the P.A. system …all round the ground .
Starting to think that only 1 speaker in the whole of LR works . And it’s about 20 feet from my head . [Post edited 29 Aug 22:41]

Like others have said I'm so pleased to hear you're taking a step back from Twitter. Life is too short, too precious and tough enough as it is without consciously choosing to pick up our screens and log in to a place to read what the angriest, craziest people (who may or may not even be real) are shouting into the void or randomly directly at us. Hard not to get sucked in or take some of it on board sometimes so definitely best to avoid.
