I do like Harvey Vale in our starting line up, growing in confidence game by game. Can also deliver a wicked corner. Linked up brilliantly with Burrell down the right side in the 1st half.
Chelsea academy player of the year 2022. Shortly before they started signing hundreds of players.
Played under Joey Barton at Bristol Rovers on loan, poor sod. Looks like a young man desperate to play and I think we've got ourselves a fantastic bargain here.
I think as said before, being academy player of the year at Chelsea with how many youth players they have, is some achievement and shows a player with great potential.
We signed him, when we knew for half a season he would be unavailable.
That clearly put off most potential clubs and think if he hadnt have been injured for the first six months, there would have been clubs, a lot higher up the food chain than ourselves, that would have been in for Harvey.
The thought he looked slightly quicker yesterday too - maybe just sharper but collected a couple of balls I thought he’d be 2cnd too.
Yes, he looked a step quicker and also a little lighter than in previous games, so he's obviously building his fitness which is not surprising.
I'm going to reserve judgment a little because, whilst he looks good with the ball at his feet, he did also pull out of 3 or 4 tackles yesterday which is a bit of an amber alert for me. We'll see how he goes over the next few months.
