Good distribution by Nardi. Progressive pass upfield by Dunne. Superb backwards flick by Vale into space ahead of Madsen. Great pass forward from Madsen with the correct amount of pace. Kone takes a couple of touches to make room for the shot. From the edge of the area, an absolute thunder blaster in off the cross bar.
Also, to put us two nil up on the stroke of half time. A critical goal in the game, at a critical time in the match.
Can we have one of these types of goals every week please Rangers...
Great move and great finish, but I thought Madsen's pass was slightly underhit and that Kone had to come back then go around the defender, which actually made his work even more impressive.

Someone else on another thread compared it to Gerry Francis’ goal against Liverpool all those years ago that won BBC Goal of the Season and I’m inclined to agree. Lovely team goal.

Yes and they compared it to the Eze goal at Stoke, although Eze's finish was silk and Kone's was "Have some of that"
When Kone hit that yesterday..
"Starting to believe a little bit" as i once heard someone say. What happened next, then ???

Just when I thought people couldn’t come up with any more reasons to criticise Madsen! Four key passes yesterday and it’s still not good enough

I love the way we do this (and this is not a dig at you Watford, but a general comment) Two games ago, we lost 7-1 and went into meltdown. Now we have a goal being compared to the one scored by the England captain in the greatest QPR team ever against one of the best teams in England. Gotta love our sense of balance. It was THAT goal that copperfastened me as a QPR fan however.

Let’s hope these types of goals secure some new, younger fans to replace some of us old gits !
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Well what I'll say in response, and not withsstanding your caveat Myke which I accept, is that I don't post a huge amount these days, and I certainly didn't go into meltdown on here after Coventry. The only general comment I've made is that the games before the transfer window slams shut are invariably almost like an extension of the pre season for clubs like ours because we're usually forced to do our business late on. So I don't tend to get too over excited by the August results.
More specifically, goals scored by good team passing and movement will always be memorable. Especially in our case, as generally we've been through years and years of watching our goals bouncing in off people's knees and @rses, and been grateful for it.
No matter the level we are playing at, for the first time since the half season of Agyemang, Buzsaky and Vine, we've got a forward line that other teams at our level will fear. So if I choose to be excited and make comparisons to little moments from better times, 53 years of watching what for 80% of the time has been dross means I won't be apologising for it.

I'm not criticising him. I didn't see the game but glad to hear he played well.
We're allowed discuss stuff, though, surely.
The pass looked good to my eyes it was Kone who took it wide and most of us thought the window was closing but he fired off that laser into the corner/roof to perfection. Coady has fallen a long way from his English International days and I suspect Kone realised this and simply out foxed him. Its a pity he did not get that Dembele chance ,in alone on the keeper in front of the away fans there was only going to be one outcome IMO. Exciting player exciting things building here for us I think

Fair enough, Bannerman. I think a small bit more pace on the ball would have got Kone through one-on-one for an easier chance, but obviously respect your point.
Take it easy.
