I worked until 6.15pm. Mad that I missed it as I could have made the 8pm k.o. Just.
That will teach me.
Great win.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

What’s happened tonight is the value of players riding dramatically
I wouldn’t speak to any club if offering less than 20 m for VIP
Galbraith will be a 50 m player
Imagine if that shot had not hit the crossbar
A lad utterly at home playong PL England internationals

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Well that was rather good except for a few passages in the game where I thought I was watching a Martin team , slow ,slow ,quick ,quick ,slow certainly from the back but all in all a more than satisfying evenings work
IMO Sheehan has a big job on his hands trying to please everyone in terms of game time.

Incredible win but we gift teams

Galbraith at 1.5 million makes me feel that we’ve taken advantage of Orient and should be reported to the authorities. They’ll have a good sell on but his consistency amazes me. With Stamenic behind him and yalcouin from I’d think that is a midfield not just to be feared but to be petrified of. Birmingham must be bricking it

What weather , what an unexpected lovely surprise, stadium buzzing both inside and out after the game. Sheehan's substitutions working, yes we could have lost by a number of goals, but to come back in such a manner was uplifting, Fisher makes a cracking save, Burgess gets the headed goal he has been threatening, ball played into dangerous area, the penalty area on the floor, lovely assist from Cullen to a player, the revitalised,Vipotnik who got in front of the defender at the front post which we fans have been asking for. Galbraith wonder strike and low and behold a left foot centre half who is comfortable enough to drill home the winner happy day to build on a winning mentality.

Christ..

No way at fault for either goal.

Agree with you on Fisher ,he did ok and he made a great save 2nd half as well
Big Zan took his goal brilliantly and is definitely our starting 9 by a mile
Burgess scored a great header and the second was a worldie finish ,technique, timing and power ,that any player would have been over the moon to score
Benson looks good and Samuel- Smith did ok
Galbraith on the other hand just seems to get better every game, the amount of ground he covers is unbelievable, what an engine and …. What a shot ,deserved a goal but we’ll take that rebound any day of the week,an absolutely brilliant signing for us
Well done boys, didn’t roll over and didn’t give in

I criticized Sheehan after the Hull game but boy did he play his cards right last night. The tv people were saying how it was Forest’s second team - not noticing that it was a Swsns second eleven bar Galbraith , Franco and Burgess!

They rode their luck but fortune favours the brave and they deserved it in the end. Fantastic.

It was after the game. Sheehan shook is hand and he didn’t look him in the eye. There was another shot of him without a smile.

It’s maybe nothing but I thought that win tonight would have made everyone smile.

Okay I rewatched the 2nd half when I got home tonight and the broadcast (with announcers who complimented us all night and couldn't contain themselves the last 5 min of extra time, "this is why fb is the greatest game on Earth!" etc etc) and it kept a late camera on Sheehan celebrating on the pitch with the players.

Definitely nothing wrong with Eom, he's always seemed to me like an introverted serious all the time dude, and that one burst of energy collapsing and pounding his firsts into the ground probably drained all the emotion out of him. Plus he looked like a dude who had just worked his ass off for 98 minutes.

Speaking of Sheehan, Ive GOT to have that Death Row hoodie.

A fantastic performance last night, much as I criticised Sheehan on Saturday he got everything right this time and the whole team played well. A special mention for Fisher who hasn't let us down this season and seems a different keeper to 18 months ago. Our midfield has so much quality now than even though he played well Franco does not stand out, not a criticism of Franco just emphasising the quality we have in that area and the options. Brilliant night though and one that will last long in the memories and is the type of performance to get bums back on the seats. A very short recovery time for Birmingham though, players in today for recovery and debrief then travel up tomorrow for a 12.30 KO Saturday. I know we take the Sky money but common sense should prevail.

Galbraith take a bow son!

What a magnificent performance.

We have a brilliant midfield. Non stop action and tough battling players.

We have more than a good team now, we have a good squad.

Fisher having a good run of Cup performances was unlucky for the first, made a good reaction save for the first goal got back on his feet and with the rebound he closed the space down and from a very tight angle the ball hits the post and goes in off him, if the shot doesn't hit the post good chance he saves it and the game is a lot tighter.

As for the midfield how and who do you play if Stamenic is deemed a first choice midfield player, The sooner he is back the better to see if his inclusion increases the quality of the defensive element in the team while keeping control of the game allowing us to get forward sooner, all three midfielders played well.
We did get away with soon poor opposition finishing but things do look a lot more promising going forward, just need to tighten the defensive element of our game, I'm sure Angel Rangel is still local enough to give some of our players some advise on dealing with wingers.

Cracking atmosphere in the ground as that comeback grew into a reality.

Again Fisher has demonstrated that the single biggest problem that he had was Martin.

When asked to play a simple game instead of under pressure all the time he has consistently been a capable keeper, both here and in his loan spell, and it'd be nice if people accepted that and stopped trying to blame him for every goal we concede when he's in the team.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Without any real knowledge of other teams, I’d imagine he’s the best backup keeper in the Championship by some distance. Most will have Jon McLaughlin type journeymen or youngsters.

I thought Eom was very good last night, particularly in the first half.

He’s well suited to open games where we’re going at the opposition and he can use his creativity. Particularly with Yalouye alongside him turning over possession and creating broken play.

Where he really shouldn’t be used is games like Saturday when it’s a dogfight, he doesn’t have much support around him and we need a backs to the wall battler in there protecting his fullback. That’s just not his game.

Yep, just got that right, there were times we were wide open and outnumbered defending,
Fishs save i feel was the turning point, despite us looking frail a few times, what stood out is that we dont give up or collapse, we keep going, and i just hope that we can build on this , and all at the club , players and staff, can see what is possible and work for it, as VIP said in his interview after the atmosphere was brill,
and lets be honest about it, theres no better place to be than at a buzzing lil old best team in Wales .......Swansea.

Yep.

I don't think any of us will want him taking Larry's place any time soon, but if we needed him to step in for an extended period I would lose no sleep over it.

I was at Stoke and Fisher played well and then he was dropped. He has a good kick out and he is a good shot stopper. The five aside football he was asked to play has really damaged his career. He went all out for his manager and was chucked under the bus.

I am amazed at the number of people messaging me this morning saying how fantastic our team is. Not people who actually come to games but take an interest. Last night could be the game that kick starts us commercially with an upsurge in interest thanks to Sky. The next two league games are on Sky+ and if we can get momentum from these it could be the turning point we need. A decent draw in the cup next week would be the icing on the cake. I just hope the comercial depart are up to taking advantage of this with some ticket incentives.

Can't take anything away from the opposition last night, they were well drilled who attacked in numbers and could have score a couple more which makes the result all that much sweeter.

I'd be bringing Stamenic in for Franco who I think currently is a bit of a shadow of the player he was last season. He seemed to be last to everything and behind the pace of the game - stats play this out as he won only 20% of his duels. He has other intangible impacts such as passion, aggression and work ethic but he looks like he needs a rest.

Thought the kids at that back looked promising and wouldn't be concerned about either having to fill in at points in the season.

I know some were slagging Key off while the match was live, but sometimes you have to accept you come up against a good winger - whether he sat off, or came in tight (as we are often criticizing him for not doing), Hutchinson more often than not was more than equal.

BUT...what an electric night!

I don't think Franco is a shadow of last season, its just we have far better players around him which means he doesn't stand out like last season. Currently he is doing the "dog" work which often goes unnoticed but he works really hard and tidies up in front of the defence, I do think he could be the one to miss out when Stamenic is fit, because I think it will be Galbraith, Yalcouye and Stamenic as our starting midfield three, we really are spoilt this season. As for Franco needing a rest I don't agree, he is one of the few getting a rest in the international break, we currently have 11 internationals and they don't seem to need a rest.

Perhaps you are right, it just looked like he was being overrun and not timing his challenges well last night. Either way, what a great problem to have.

I keep watching the last 2 minutes highlights on full blast over and over - that 2nd Burgess goal will never get old!!
