Swansea City v Nottingham Forest : Match day thread on 13:50 - Sep 18 with 2706 views | BarryTownSwam | Rewatched the extended highlights a few times this afternoon of our equaliser. Impressed by Vip’s movement for his goal - footage shows him starting off penalty spot, cat & mouse with the big Forest defender, then waiting to see where Cullen would receive the ball, before moving himself in front of the defender in front of the near post. Didn’t just stick out a leg & hope for a good contact Vip clearly guides it home, places it away from the keeper. Watch the footage guys & gals and share your thoughts on the goal.

He’s learning so much and made it clear he wanted this season to be at Swansea, as much as I understand how upset he was over the Cullen shirt thing and recruitment of another striker he seems to have had had a light bulb moment. As stated before you either become a Joel Piroe or an Obafemi.

Those seconds of expectation, frustration and pure joy between Galbraiths shot and Burgess smashing it in. Unbeatable

Definitely all the subs contributed equally, the plan was to attack and attack they surely did. Shame that wasn't the plan last Saturday 😕 | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think this could be a sliding doors game. Win and we’re on a real bounce, lose and the Forest game almost gets forgotten. If we can stand up to their high intensity game and come away with a result, confidence will be sky high.

The starting 11 and timing of the substitutions will be vital.

May be a case of keeping a big gun on the bench? Very difficult to leave him out, but a fresh Yalcouye would be immense in the last half hour. Especially the way Birmingham play. I think we all agree the substitutions really weakened us Saturday.
Swansea City v Nottingham Forest : Match day thread on 17:53 - Sep 18 with 2081 views | KeithHaynes | The good news it seems is that Stamenic doesn’t seem badly injured. At the end of the game he did break into a slight jog when on the pitch celebrating 👍 Either that or he’s pulled the lot 😂

The improvement in his game so far this season is incredible and is a credit to how much he has thought about his game and implemented change, fantastic so far.

I’m unsure if they really had that much of a connection with him. He wasn’t there for much of last season.

Swansea City v Nottingham Forest : Match day thread on 23:59 - Sep 17 by wwcigne | Agree with you on Fisher ,he did ok and he made a great save 2nd half as well Big Zan took his goal brilliantly and is definitely our starting 9 by a mile Burgess scored a great header and the second was a worldie finish ,technique, timing and power ,that any player would have been over the moon to score Benson looks good and Samuel- Smith did ok Galbraith on the other hand just seems to get better every game, the amount of ground he covers is unbelievable, what an engine and …. What a shot ,deserved a goal but we’ll take that rebound any day of the week,an absolutely brilliant signing for us Well done boys, didn’t roll over and didn’t give in YJB ,COYS |
I said on another outlet that Galbraith has move that filled the gap left by O'Brien he's been excellent.

Hes more than filled it, he cost less and is on less. Plus he will leave us for quite a substantive profit.

Swansea City v Nottingham Forest : Match day thread on 07:14 - Sep 18 by Dr_Winston | Again Fisher has demonstrated that the single biggest problem that he had was Martin. When asked to play a simple game instead of under pressure all the time he has consistently been a capable keeper, both here and in his loan spell, and it'd be nice if people accepted that and stopped trying to blame him for every goal we concede when he's in the team. |
I think Sheehan had a word with him and said Vig was his number one.

I wonder if Stamenic is fit. Be a big thing for us as would allow Galbraith to do a lot more damage up the field. I’d even start Yalcouye ahead of Franco just to see what energy and drive he gives alongside Galbraith. Franco isnt a bad sun to bring on either. Really interested to see how much Inoussa influences the game.

You would have thought Sheehan would have stated that publicly like he did with Cullen. There’s a bit of irony about tonight.

Cant see stamenic being fit for Saturday. Its going to be interesting who is starting, I suspect that all their minutes, especially the midfielders will be closely monitored. Whoever starts at least we have a luxury of bringing decent replacements on. Re stamenic, when hes fit we are going to be even stronger, as you say having him in the side will release galbraith to cause havoc.

Sliding doors indeed, Forest third goal chalked off for an offside. then a penalty and probably a red for Burgess chalked off with another offside. Sliding doors indeed. On another day it's 4-1 with 10 men against Nottm Forest reserves. Instead we march onwards and upwards with a Premier League scalp. Let's hope for good news in next Wednesday's draw.

Interesting when you say it was it being Forests reserves ,I'm just wondering how many of Forests reserves would be in our starting 11 ?.
