We were well worth the win. Credit to Stephan and Nourry for turning things round from that horror show at Coventry. Vale my MotM closely followed by Saito. I’m absolutely buzzing! Great, great win. What a gathering of true gentlemen and unbelievably talented footballers. This is a real milestone for me, as I’m sure it is for many others here on Loft for Words. It reminds me that it’s exactly 50 years since I first got hooked and fell for this crazy and wonderful club with the most beautiful hooped shirt in the world. Yes, that’s how old I am! Once you become QPR, you’re QPR for life. And as a Danish Ranger, it’s also great to finally see Madsen blossom. At last, it looks like he’s starting to understand his role in a Championship team and has regained some confidence. It took far too long, but the way he can play those first-time passes could be really valuable for Kone, Saito, and Burrell, who will benefit from his service over a season that’s suddenly starting to look quite exciting. Madsen has actually played Champions League football back in Denmark, but he’s certainly been frustrating to watch for a long time. Finally, it looks like he might be about to come good. So this season, which marks the 50th anniversary of the best QPR team ever, could actually turn out to be pretty interesting. Who would have thought that just a few weeks ago after the disaster in Coventry? | | | |
