Lucy Powell 09:40 - Sep 17 with 5283 views | raynor94 | Looks nailed on to become the Labour parties new deputy leader weeks after Starmer sacked her, is this the beginning of the end of him. Burnham is lurking in the background left wing of the party rearing it's ugly head again

Morning Joe If that is true then she’s plagiarised Corbyn , humanitarian par excellence , supporter of the ordinary working people

There was a poll amongst activists which suggests she’s sitting at around the 70% mark.

Boris became an MP to become Prime Minister, it’s not unheard of. Farage probably had similar thoughts.

That would require Labour to wim a by election though. Doesn’t look very possible at the moment even in their safest seats.

I saw an article on the weekend that a Labour MP is going to stand down for Burnham to win the seat and get elected. Farage said that Reform would throw everything at winning that seat and Burnham would end up with egg on his face. It could go either way, interesting times.

That is what is putting so many off voting Plaid and the closer we get the more will drift away from Plaid.

Lucy Powell on 17:42 - Sep 17 with 2902 views | Gwyn737 | I think Reform governing in wales would be the worst thing for them. They’re not geared up for the nitty gritty of politics and could be shown up. A Labour/Plaid coalition would be a dream for them as they could chip away at them in preparation for the next General Election.

It may be a dream for them but a nightmare for the Welsh population. We have had a Labour/Plaid coalition before and it failed us miserably. The majority of Welsh people want nothing to do with Labour anymore in any shape or form.

Spot on! Labour with Plaid in the same bed have let us down for years, and it turns out now Eluned Morgan turned down an invitation to tonight's state banquet what an own goal

Lucy Powell on 21:20 - Sep 17 with 2659 views | AnotherJohn | If Burnham displaced Starmer then this would signal a return to traditional Labour policies that in the present economic climate would be likely to spook the international bond markets. We would see a doubling down on no curtailment of disability benefits payments, refugees welcome (current unrest is alleged to be just discontent re cost of living), and continuing growth of the deficit and national debt. I think if a sharp Leftward turn did happen then we really would be in IMF bail-out territory.
Lucy Powell on 16:23 - Sep 18 with 2137 views | trampie | Labour are red Tories, we need a bona fide left wing government not a right wing government masquerading as being on the left. Labour need to go after the rich and the big corporations not after people on benefits, they are right wing. We need a government that look to distribute wealth not one that puts more and more money into rich people's pockets.

Oh I dunno...Labour are doing a pretty good job of redistributing wealth.... Business owners are leaving the country in unprecedented droves. Your Socialist utopia is a kingdom of dust. Pol Pot, Mao, Stalin and that educationally subnormal nutjob Cayo-Evans are reminders from history of why it's the pipedream of the unhinged. I can see why you'd find it an attractive proposition. Labour are right wing they are going after benefits like winter fuel allowance, benefits like pip/universal credit or whatever they are called, did they nationalise Port Talbot steelworks - did they ****. The media are all right wing as if Labour and the Tories are not right wing enough they are pushing Reform now. Any economic migrants that want to leave this country, crack on I don't want them here be they business people, doctors, teachers or road sweeps they can leave this country chasing coin elsewhere, traitors as far as I'm concerned.
