Seems everyone is a bit down after Pompey, given so many were predicting a loss, im surprised they are disappointing with a draw.

Satisfying The Bloodlust Of The Masses In Peacetime

Yes, feeling down about Saints definitely. Languishing in the bottom half of the Championship. Pompey above us for the first time in years and continuing to be so. I'm not happy at all with a boring draw at home to our rivals. Southampton have dropped to new levels, if anyone is happy with a boring draw. Nearly got beat by our nearest rivals on our own pitch. New players in, you would think that would bring excitement and motivation to the players but no they played like idiots in the first half in a massive derby that they knew was important to the fans.

We can't score, one shot on target. All the games have been very unconvincing and boring even. This is after the worse season I can sver remember, and things don't seem to be improving. Still no striker despite desperatly needing one for the last 3 years. I'm not convinced by our inexperienced, young manager who just looks bored, and his idea of football is to just hoof it up front, throw everyone on and hope we score. So yeah, hardly singing from the roof tops.

Poll: Who do we want as the new permanent Saints manager?

I had been nervous about the game for weeks, and did say on here beforehand I would settle for a point.

However, the game was so uneventful that my over-riding feeling afterwards was "Was that it???!!!???"

It was as if the build-up for weeks had all ultimately been for the dampest of squibs.

Enthusiasm will return after we have handsomely despatched Hull 1-0.

Poll: Should Dibling play at Ipswich on Sunday if he is available for selection?

We desperately need a big target man upfront.
Someone who is going to strike fear into opponents box.
What’s the point of buying wingers who haven’t got anyone to give the ball to?

You can see it grumps, I can see it together with every other man and his dog.

It’s almost as though our owners and their nominated employees at Sports Republic are happy with mid table mediocrity ?

Poll: Where will we finish in the upcoming season?

WS brought on a big target man in the second half. He moved around like someone from Dad's Army.

That’s what is likely to happen when you pay 7 million for a striker when you should be looking for a better one,Ron.
Mind you we maybe being harsh on him as it’s early days, but I share your concern.

Last season we played Tall Paul yet failed to have any wingers to get crosses into him.

This season we sell Tall Paul and sign a load of wingers ...so they can cross to either no one or a midget up front.

Perhaps this goes some way to explaining why we've won only 3 league wins in 43 games...

It’s all becoming a bit soul destroying
So basic, how do you expect to win games if you don’t score goals?
Our front line is so poor, when you watch them warm up half the efforts miss the target, same last season, it’s like we don’t even practise shooting
And given how poor they are why didn’t we keep Tall Paul so our new wingers have someone to aim at?!? Crossing to AA is the definition of pointless

There's always the next game, but so far the Will Still/Johannes Spors dream team are not exactly setting the league alight.

Well yes it does explain that record of three wins in 43 but nobody can explain why WS said we don't need a striker.
I keep seeing a rerun of Cameron Archer crossing a beautiful ball into the Pompey box and no f* cker anywhere near it to poke it in the net after all the defenders missed it.

'won only 3 league wins in 43 games'

Testament to the loyalty of Saints fans that they support the club in the numbers they do.

Saints fans deserve so much more, one can only hope and keep the faith.
