How wonderful is it to read a report like this about a great performance and a great win? Top marks all round for a brilliant afternoon at LR. I’m starting to love this group of players…. If Carlsberg did birthdays eh, Clive?

Stoke's issues with Vale continue as QPR make it three from three – Report on 10:08 - Sep 22 with 4047 views
Great report Clive. The Mbengue challenge to us looked like, and sounded like, they both kicked the ball at the same time. Couldn’t believe the photo we all saw yesterday, shows how hard it is to referee the championship as we thought he got it spot on, stopping the game to make sure no one was hurt after a 50/50. Need JCS back in time for his suspension.

Good report and pretty much how I saw it. Saito MOTM, Morisson a close second for me. Enjoyable game which I think we shaded.
Interesting, a few people have referenced the 90s Francis team as what we look a bit like now. The big difference though is clearly the fullbacks, where the 90s side was blessed with two that would have been equally at home as wingers, whereas our two now would equally be at home as centre backs which goes to show the type of players they are/were. I think for now, a tough championship, with physical teams, that’s not the worst thing in the world, but as we progress a bit more and hopefully kick on this season or more likely next, a bit more calmness and intelligence with the ball will be required from the fullback positions, to help us really become a contender for top 6.

Cheers Clive, great report. I took my 5 year old boy to his first ever match at Loftus Road, what a day we had and brilliant to come away with a win. We were quite close to the front in R block, was great to see the celebrations in front of us when Vale's goal went in. Another lifelong Rs fan was created on Saturday 💙
Ps. Thought RND was decent as left back, did a solid job and kept his winger quiet who looked like he could be a handful. Saito is a great player, constantly looking to go forward. Really impressed with Madsen, his turnaround from last season is something else. Great to have some selection problems for once with players coming back from injury. Early days but feels like we might actually get to enjoy this season!
Cracking game of football with a brilliant atmosphere. Even for 12.30 . Just goes to show what a half decent team with energy and desire adds to the Mix.

Yeah, we've all been some dreadful 12.30 KOs.
This one was refreshing - Rangers at it from the get go.
‘one would be forgiven for wondering whether the magnificent grey mane of Gerry Francis had crept back into the dressing room for a third swing at managing this team.…’
Watch where you stand if you have to interview the owl.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

He's got two good strikers and he's playing to their strengths.
He has but fair play to JS for putting them out there.
Quite the turnaround from a few weeks back, got to be honest I had big reservations about the new manager and whether he could handle this place.
He certainly grabbed that 7-1 defeat by the horns, which makes me wonder whether the issues previously were Marti’s intransigence rather than Nourry’s vision?

A still image can ALWAYS be used out of context. The pic of Mbengue looks awful but it was clear that they both struck the ball and momentum took Mbengue's leg onto Pearson. It'll probably be picked up retrospectively because no foul was given and expect a 3 game ban.
Cheers Clive. I was only able to watch on telly, Stoke gave us a real test but unusually I felt relatively calm about the game. When we scored my first reaction was "well I think we're at least getting a point here" but then after that I didn't really worry about Stoke getting a goal back.
Manager has done a great job of instilling a team shape in a short space of time where everyone knows their role. I suppose at the end of the day football is a fairly simple game.
Many thanks Clive, another balanced report. I am getting excited about what this season might produce now and I am thinking that it’s time for me to start backing wins in the prediction league!

Great match report as always, was looking forward to that one.
Some have been wondering where Kolli fits in with the group of players we have. With this formation of two up front, could that be where he is best used if Burrell isn't playing and Kone is?

With his pace and experience as a striker, I think Smyth fits best as a sub or cover for Burrell.

We have better players now than under Marti. That makes a huge difference - we’ve now got power and pace up front. What did Marti have?
