Just wish I could warm to to Will Still. 11:07 - Sep 29 with 1878 viewsGRIM

I'm not jumping on the knock Will Still bandwagon yet.
But I just wish I could warm to him, his pre & post match interviews are just so bland & depressing.
So, he doesn't like being interviewed then he shouldn't have taken the job, it is part of the job.
So come on Will, let loose a little, let's see if the real Will Still is made of steel.

I like him. He doesn't make any wild promises. He seems like a trustworthy character. I don't agree with all of his team selections and substitutions, but I'm prepared to give him time to turn things around here. It's unlikely that Sport Republic will replace him with somebody better anyway.

We've had plenty of managers I've liked much less: Branfoot, Jones, Pardew, Hughes, Martin ...

Lots of gingerist comments , unacceptable in this age of diversity and inclusivity.

He has made no secret of the fact he is a bad loser, which is no bad thing in my book.

I don't want people representing our club being happy about bad results.

I often wonder how managers keep their cool in post-match interviews after they have just lost.

Let's see if he cheers up a bit when we start winning, TOMORROW.

I like him too.

The thing is, we don't HAVE to like his personality as long as the team does well - I couldn't care less about how he is on camera. I'm sure he's the sort who'll start talking about yoghurts going out of date soon as I think he finds the whole interview situation as tedious as Strachan did.

And yes, agreed, he does seem like no bullshit and no lies, honest.

I've learned more about tactics in his press conferences over the last 4 weeks than any other manager put together.

He isn't a big personality, but I think he is smart and seems sound enough.

Still very much has my backing.

I note that he already seems to have fallen out with the Watford manager and the Portsmouth manager during games this season.

Both irrelevant non-entities who he shouldn't be concerning himself with.

But again, no bad thing to be unpopular with the opposition.

These press conferences are always repetitive because, truthfully, there isn't much to say beyond an update on injuries. We've seen the match so another description of what happened isn't necessary. He isn't going to give any specific tactical details. The transfer window is closed so nothing much to say beyond the usual platitudes. I like him ok but he needs to start winning soon.

Wenger was once challenged by some journo about professional courtesy after an altercation with an opposing manager, could have been Pardew or Ferguson, can’t recall.
His dismissive response, “I have no professional courtesy.”
Not required obviously.
Will Still is doing ok, just needs a break.

Yep I like him , nothing flash about him just down to earth Will “I’m just good old Will” he describes himself.

I love the fact he gives fringe players a chance and is now keeping the same players that are performing well and is not afraid to leave players like TH Bellis and Stephens out . This wouldnt have happened with some of our previous managers . As has been said if he’s upsetting rival managers he has something about him and good on him .

I think it's more that they just don't want to be there full stop!

I’d like him if his team won a few more games.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.
