| Shipshape and Bristol Fashion Match Thread on 20:06 - Oct 4 by Northernr | Well you don’t get in the play offs playing like we did against Oxford and Sheff Wed. But I’m encouraged. And I enjoyed watching us today, against Stoke, and against Charlton. |
I think it reiterates the point I made about our poor performances being attitudinal, than selection based. Today we were 'up for it' again, for the first time since Stoke. This is a happy thread and not going to spoil the mood, but the SW result frustrates me even more than the Oxford one. Oxford are well-drilled, SW in turmoil. Anyway, 6th - and guaranteed for a minimum of two weeks!!

As a club we have far exceeded my expectations for this season and I see no reason why It can't continue. On the pitch as players and Management we are In a good place, the finances of the club are not my concern, probably best I don't know. It's all good.

After the debacle at Coventry I was convinced we’d be relegated. For Julien, the players and staff to turn this round in such spectacular fashion is simply phenomenal. Everybody played their part yesterday but a big shout out to Nico - he was immense and is getting better every game. Long may it continue! Buzzing!!! COYRs!!!!! 💙🤍💪🏼

| Shipshape and Bristol Fashion Match Thread on 10:06 - Oct 5 with 1970 views | 89_50 | Adding my thoughts after a great away day. Solid performance, never stopped, always probing and trying to unlock what is a decent Bristol City team. Huge win and great for our momentum. I've coated off Madsen here and elsewhere over the past year, but his transformation has been excellent. Really like how he's working harder and being more abrasive. Hope it continues. Burrell's running and effort should be recognised more. Chases every lost cause and makes things happen. Really like this guy. Cook was imperious at the back. Two games in a few days for a man who looked properly injured earlier in the year, and to marshall the defence in that manner was brilliant. And I can't not mention Harvey Vale. What an excellent signing. So positive with the ball, always making things happen. Perhaps what I appreciate most is how efficient and economical he is with his touches - will progress the ball quickly, doesn't take unnecessary touches, reads and anticipates so, so well. | | | |

Where we generally good for the result? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I thought that we had loads of attacks, but for so long poor decision-making and/or poor execution meant that very few ended up with shots on. Bristol City will feel that they should have had a peno and that Smyth's goal should've been disallowed. Twine missed a sitter as well. Maybe a draw would have been fair, but I thought we played well. It may have been a bit fortunate but it wasn't a robbery and no-one's going to jail.
