Nooooooo

Everything is great as we slip down.

Keep on clapping.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Same boring football, slow from the back, 3 passes before going forward . No target man once Stewart went off, manning and Fraser not taking on full backs just get the ball and pass it backwards.Still hasn’t changed anything apart from the ball from defence to the holding midfield player, Time for another change. Let’s get a manager who gets the team attacking quickly

We are where we should be under Sports Republic.
Mid table Championship.

Get used to it.

Instant success otherwise sack the manager....proven successful route ..mmm.

2 away games ..1 win and draw..SACK THE MANAGER IM SOILING MY PANTIES!! ..calm down ladies .

We got 12 points last season , the club is in basket case mode and trying to settle down and rebuild.

We have a crocked Centre forward and a crap one..not Stills fault and no there is no manager out there who can change this fact.

Criticise the recruitment team and owners by all means or maybe we should just appoint a manager on a 3 game contract?

We aren’t going to improve with him in charge.

His tactics are garbage and his subs are a joke.

He got the job off the back of a 10 minute chat on Sky with Carragher.

Another terrible appointment by the onions at SR.

Would that we were a mid table side. I think everyone felt that nothing less than a convincing win would do. We got a point and a broken Ross Stewart. Business as usual. That said the manager isn't playing the match, the players are and they are supposed to know what they are doing, so why are they letting us down nearly every week?

A good manager would be getting the best out of proven championship players like Azaz and Fellows. Instead he drops them. Plays Downes instead of Robertson. The lad Robertson at least gives 100.per cent. What message does it send when you play a lazy, usless player instead of a hard working one? The performances are dull, uninspiring, dross, just like the monotone, half asleep manager. We are going nowhere under him.

Fair points.. Fellows over Fraser , but imo 8m Sienza deserves a start and was arguably our best player.

But what do we do if a new manager doesn't at least win two of his first three games?

Sack him as well?

Agree about Sienza but the manager took him off!
It's not just because we arn't winning enough games, although obviously that's a big part of it. The performances are a mess. It's a mixture of left and right passing in our own half, being bored to death only to change to hoof ball to rescue a result, when the fans start shouting get it forward. We are barely getting results against sides that can only dream of having the quality of Fellows, Azaz, Armstrong etc.

And it's the long term thing for me. Imagine by some miracle we do get promoted? He is out of his depth in the championship, let alone the PL. There is no future with him. He's inexperienced, naive, totally uninspiring. The performances are so scrappy, rubbish football, so many random decisions, no.obvious plan. He bores me.

I take your point about who would we bring in. These owners are utter prats, and probably bring in Mongolia's reserve team coach.

Not Still's fault?
He was the one who said we don't need a centre forward.

We seem to play like a team with no real plan still seems to play players here there and every where we buy the players for his so could system then he doesn't play the bloody system after one poor game against pompey play a back 4 but stick with wood and Edwards as the centre half's we give up to much space in behind playing wing backs

Unfortunately I can’t see him getting the sack until our play off chasing chances are mathematically impossible.

I’m guessing the loons at the top will sack him in early April and appoint Lallana and Trollope until the end of the season.

Then appoint another dud in the summer.

Sack the manager on 06:40 - Oct 5 with 980 viewssaintwizzler

If Still goes Lallana and a ‘friend’ step in.

Which do you want?

Mr Monotone or Mr Nivea?

The Sport Republic way.

You keep going on about 3 game contracts.

The fact is, Still had a whole preseason and 10 games this season to set his blueprint for the team.

He hasn’t. We have no identity and he keeps making ridiculous decisions.

Ideally, I would be all for giving him time. But I honestly don’t think that time will improve him.

A terrible appointment by an ownership that has largely done nothing but make terrible decisions.

I was all for getting Lampard in when we had the chance. Not hip enough for SR, and no chance he would have worked for those idiots anyway.

Joking aside , I think Still deserves a run of games upto Xmas .
I agree it's been disappointing ..a proper damp squib start to the season where we look like a midtable side so I'm as frustrated as everyone else.

My issue is with the club and our owners.

You say we should have brought in Lampard.
He was regarded by many as a bit of a joke before he went to Coventry.
Big name Charlie who got sacked from Chelsea and Everton.

The difference now for me is perfect timing.

Coventry were on an upward trajectory as a club for the last 5 years or so.
Successive promotions and stability with Mark Robin's given time to bring in the right players and given time to correct mistakes.

One bad run and a higher level of expectation and he was sacked .

In steps Lampard to freshen the place up with a properly decent set of top quality Championship players and a club structure already in place.

Saints on the other hand have squandered our Premier league status slowly over 3 or 4 years and lurched from one bad decision to another..lurching from one style of play to then the opposite , panic buying players who are either not good enough or just dont fit in..it just feels like we're tail spinning and there's no quick fix.

I just think our best hope is to stabilise and allow a manager like Still who did very well at two Ligue 1 clubs some time and perhaps another window or two to get it right..

Agree another dud appointed by Dragan and the loons.

We have not improved since Still has come in and he’s had plenty of time, he’s even had a month the players he supposedly wanted .

He’s run out of excuses, which he always seems to come up with.

Under him we will finish bottom half and the problem is now we’ve wasted a season of parachute payments as I can’t see the loons sacking him anytime soon and appointing someone that will have to hit the ground running if we were to challenge for that 6 th place.

I'm beginning to think that consecutive managers are being dictated to about who they play and maybe even how they play.
Still's predecessor Juric also made some strange /illogical substitutions and used some strange tactics. Now he's doing well and unbeaten at Atalanta.
And Still - who in their right mind would substitute anybody with Downs? is he being told he must play him to save face for Spors?
I can't think of any other explanations other than he doesn't have any idea about football...

It’s worrying just how many of our fans are accepting of our position of a lower mid table 2 nd division club.

Dragan and the loons tell us how difficult it is to be a premier league club, this despite us being a established premier league club when the loons took over and small clubs like Bournemouth , palace and Brighton to name a few putting that myth to bed.

The loons tell us how near on impossible it is for a championship club to go up and survive , this dispite both Leeds and Sunderland putting that myth to bed. Fvck me even Burnley are. 1/4 of the way to our points telly last season.

Dragan and the loons are crap at running a football club but they’ve done wonders convincing some fans a lower 2nd division place is a good achievement.

I've not met anyone or read any comments where any of our fans are happy accepting lower midtable Championship status.

Everyone universally agrees that SR have been crap owners.
