It’s worrying just how many of our fans are accepting of our position of a lower mid table 2 nd division club.

Dragan and the loons tell us how difficult it is to be a premier league club, this despite us being a established premier league club when the loons took over and small clubs like Bournemouth , palace and Brighton to name a few putting that myth to bed.

The loons tell us how near on impossible it is for a championship club to go up and survive , this dispite both Leeds and Sunderland putting that myth to bed. Fvck me even Burnley are. 1/4 of the way to our points telly last season.

Dragan and the loons are crap at running a football club but they’ve done wonders convincing some fans a lower 2nd division place is a good achievement.

We March On

Good job we built St. Mary’s as we never would have survived in such a small capacity ground as the Dell…..

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......

💯
A number of clubs have been monitoring WS for some time now- he’s only with us because he turned down Sunderland for one.
He has a newly-assembled team of 20/21 year olds in what is very definitely a man’s league. He effectively has no CF and btw please can we stop holding him to account for his comment that he was happy with the forwards? I very much doubt that he meant this but he couldn’t really say anything else.
This team will get better: get behind them.
Lampard getting the credit for years of solid work at Coventry, under awful circumstances, by Robins just shows how short-sighted we can be.
There are lots of things wrong with this club, but I am not sure that WS is one of them.

Lampard took over a team that was failing. Robins did a fantastic job there but they were regressing.
Lampard almost took them up, and they look the best side in the league now. He also has a bit about him. I don’t think he would have entertained working for the SR clowns though. They wouldn’t have gone for him either as he would see through all the bull.

Everyone is getting on Will Still’s case, I watched the game on telly and thought he…
Chose the wrong squad, the wrong team, the wrong playing positions, the wrong tactics, the wrong substitutions at the wrong time, the wrong halftime oranges, the wrong tracksuit, the wrong trainers, the wrong tone of voice, the wrong hair color, the wrong team bus, the wrong club owners, the wrong club, the wrong city, the wrong country to work in, the wrong girlfriend, the wrong coaching staff, the wrong back room staff, the wrong grounds man, the wrong bus driver and the wrong set of fans.
Other than that I thought he had a good game.

He was handed a complete mess and basket case. Of course it is going to take time to sort the mess out. Give the guy a chance. Things are improving.

Losing the only real forward over 5 foot was a major blow with no real options to replace him.

So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Well said. I was adamant from the start of the season that we needed at least two years to build a side for the top 6 in the Championship.
I was also clear that this season we would float around mid table.
This is exactly what is happening and no surprise.
We must be patient for the next two years or even longer.

floating around mid table means turning into Norwich.

Perhaps we should have been more patient with Martin too. The Rangers fans don't agree.

Patient for two years!! What if we are in league 2?

I must be patient with Still but his team selections and substitutions are trying.
He has a break now so has time to reflect and settle on his best 11.
I hope he gets it right.

I doubt it.
But, think how long it took for Forest to get back up.
This might happen to saints. Just enjoy the journey.
SR, have invested in new players that may well cement our place as a solid mid table Championship side. This will be more than enough to avoid dropping a league or two.

That's assuming your plan works. If we don't get up, within two seasons, we turn into Derby County or worse, Luton Town. You can't just assume that we finish mid table this year, then go up the next. It might not work out, we lose the PL money and things go from bad to worse.

The performances this season after spending 50 million have been utter w@nk.

Respectfully, this is nonsense.

We have just spent the thick end of £50 million, an absolute fortune in this League.

It doesn’t matter what happened last season; this is a completely different division.

If a charlatan like Martin can get us out of this League, then it should not be beyond Still.

But he is making a complete pig’s ear of it.

The two games we have won could easily have been draws, and then we would be in the bottom 3.
