Nick Oyekunle 17:58 - Oct 9 with 1305 views | grumpy | I know hes only 18,but under the circumstances is it worth putting him on the bench? Some of the finest players have started really early, why not give him a chance?
Nick Oyekunle on 18:16 - Oct 9 with 1254 views | cocklebreath | Yep we should but I doubt we will. Club won’t want to look liked they’ve made another fook up with donkey Downs

Nick Oyekunle on 18:30 - Oct 9 with 1250 views | grumpy | I am getting fed up with how things are at the moment. I read that according to one report Aribo is on £70,000 a week,he hasn't played a first team game yet this season.Has he even been on the bench? With Stewart injured again are we going to persist with the shortest forward line I can remember.? Robinson, what are they thinking ,the last game he wasn't even on the bench.

Mmmm, interesting. I’d certainly put him on the bench for the Swansea game.

Better youth scoring stats than a certain Mr. A. Shearer then, or M. LeTissier for that matter - look what they did when given their respective chances at around the same age as Oyekunle is now. On Shearer’s home debut he was up against Arsenal, on LeTissier’s home debut he up against Spurs - Oyekunle would be up against Swansea. What’s not to like about giving the lad a chance? Can he do worse than DDD? (Damion ‘Donkey’ Downs), no chance. Best thing they can do with Donkey Downs is tether him to a goalpost at the training ground and let him keep the grass in check. 🫏 🙂

Nick Oyekunle on 12:50 - Oct 10 with 662 views | 1885_SFC | Dom Ballard had a prolific record at age-group level - scoring 60 goals in 72 appearances across the U18 and U21 sides. Ballard is now doing very well having been sold to Orient in the Summer. He has scored three times in his first five league appearances for the O’s, with two of those goals coming against top-six opposition. Yes I know some will say it's 'Only League 1' etc, but a natural goal scorer is a goal scorer whatever the league. He's still only 20 years old. Good luck to the youngster. I wish him well. Nick Oyekunle will follow him out of St Marys before long with these clowns in charge.

Many fans predicted he'd score loads of goals. He scored 28 in 29 Premier League Two games and 7 in 6 FA Youth Cup games for us. But Sport Republic preferrred to spend millions on Damion Downs. Youngsters here are given almost no time to prove themselves before they are sold to the first club that makes an offer. Very little that Sport Republic does in the transfer market makes any sense in terms of building a winning team here. [Post edited 11 Oct 16:51]

Spot on Dirk, Sam Amo-Ameyaw being a prime recent example. We ship out quality youngsters like Sam AA and Dom B buy dross like Downs. It just beggars belief.

Yep, another masterstroke by SR. It's criminal the sh1te managers Ballard had to play under & barely being given a fair chance. You'd have thought that okay, now that we've been relegated from the Premier League, the club (and I include Will Still here) would give him a fair crack a division lower this season to see what the lad can do. His career stats should have been a clue and speak for themselves at all ages/levels. Most of all - he's still only 20 - yet Damion Clowns is 21. I know which lad I'd rather have up front putting a shift in.
