Another Prick in the Wall - kitty litter edition QPR vs Millwall match thread. on 07:57 - Oct 17 by HantsR
As mentioned on the Millwall dilemma thread, it's our golden wedding anniversary on Saturday. I should be back in time for tea though?
Congratulations on your Golden, but that was woeful forward planning in 1975. You did well to miss the defeat at Burnley though!
The wedding date was selected as I knew I wouldn't be travelling to Carlisle, but I did get lucky that I avoided going to see us lose at Portsmouth this year!
The Millwall game? Isn't it a 1-1 draw more often than any other scoreline?

Many thanks. I did manage to get the future Mrs Hants to go with me to the Baseball ground a few weeks before that though! (5-1 to the Rs to save you checking! )

Today at work I was being enticed with an exotic trip to Grimsby... one of the lads had a spare spot for the Gills game... which I replied with a friendly chortle... and a firm ... that will be right
The nephews have decided not to take the great nephews tomorrow such is the vitriol around the Wall... where my brother regaled his boys of the 1967 clash at the Den... when Rodders got the equaliser... we were met with a sheep skin being parted to show us a machete.... quite understand the nephews reluctance
So the game.... the eternal optimist has us easy winners... but that has been beaten down by being a Rs fan... we don't do nice things and a draw for me... with hope

thank you for the invite to the game Silverfox (Tone).
Alas Harry the Dog will have to go without my cat skin duelling gloves dipped in shattered resin and grandfather Pendulum Clock weights dropped down the leg of one's 72 button fly buckskin pantaloons.
Tone, may i recommend Steel fish hooks sewn into your smoking Jacket lapels and a regulation timber snuff box constructed from lingnum vitae, a hardy flush grain that will prove to be a redoubtable piece of kit upon some Millwall Slags head.
Have a great day out mate, see you for a gig and a pint when you get back from Texas!
3-0 to the Lovely jubberly Superhoops!

A random Picture of Dean Neal, Future Milwall legend , and thrown into the deep end By Tommy Docherty to replace Clive Allen And Paul Goddard.
Became a black taxi driver shuttling skated Charles Tyrwhitt pencil necks like me back from the square mile to essex in the late 90/s early 2000's. I always think of him whenever we play Milwall.

Got a last minute ticket in A block for this one. Right next to the Wall fans. Anticipating some 'friendly banter' and Sombrero Man entertaining us all with his rattle and vuvuzela.
Only been to two games this season so far, and both draws, like others have said, it will take a lot to break Millwall down and beat them.
Really excited about it and I'm 57. Its like I'm 11 years old again on days like these. (Except I tend to drink a lot more beer now than when I was 11 so even better 🙂)
Love it when the old place is packed to the rafters.

3-2 the R's.
I watched my grandson playing football for his school team during the week. He scored too. Loved watching him.
Football takes us back to our childhood. It's a powerful nostalgia trip and a big reason why we love it so much.

For the legend that is, Spaceman_P.....Rangers expect!
These are the types of games we'll see what this squad is made of: mice or men; faces/top geezers or runners.
While I still look at our position/points tally from the perspective of avoiding relegation, win this type of game and you feel maybe, just maybe, there is some minerals in 'em and maybe, just maybe, we can extend our horizons to the nirvana that is 15th place!
If I had a wish, it would be keeping a clean sheet after that, then it is up to us to win it. Concede, then I see and would be happy with a draw.

I’d be happy enough to see us go toe to toe with these and give as good as we get. With Kone up front and steam-powered Michi from the bench I think we’ll do just that. Alas, 1-1 was ever thus.
And I farkin hate Alex Neil’s moley mole baal’ead face

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

I sort of understand having Frey and Kone to help on set pieces against us as Millwall are very good at them. Hope this is a genuine 4-4-2 though with Smyth and Vale wide.
I watched Frey against Oxford and he didn't look overly fit to me, bit like when he first joined, or rusty at best so am hoping he has more impact this game. Hopefully the double battering ram I was expecting against Oxford.
We won't be able to press as we do normally, but maybe that won't matter as much today.
Great options from the bench if we need to change it.
