Swansea City v Queens Park Rangers : Match day thread UPDATED on 09:15 - Oct 23 by Fireboy2

After a good nights sleep, im thinking there is no way sheehan is changing this around, most teams in the championship have changed some of their personnel, we have won our games against the poorest teams in the league, norwich are one of them, even if we beat them we are still poor, I honestly believe that sheehan cannot change it around, unfortunately its gone too far, we have 3 really tough games after norwich which I think we will lose all 3, we need to change asap before it gets worse.

2 poor performances in the next week , and if hes still here!!! we are doomed, we will implode.

I agree FB , we’ve seen no change or improvement in the last few performances and don’t think we will going forward with Sheehan in charge
It’s dumbfounding to think that this is the same bloke we had at the end of last season, playing the way we did compared to now .I don’t know what’s happened to Sheehan but O’Dea seems the only change in the coaching setup and may be the reason
Whatever,Norwich on Saturday won’t be easy and we’ll all have a very close eye on the selection and performance and so will the owners

Both players should have gone,

Either both booked or both off but not a red for one and a yellow for another, referee couldn'thave seen it given by the assistant but it didn't look as if the ref went over to confirm the circumstances using radio comms only.
We seen to want to control the game but press players up far too soon leaving big gaps in the middle we cannot or won't exploit and over commit leaving essentially the centre backs with no covering defenders, we are getting pulled about at the opposition's will as play breaks down or we don't initiate the press as a team doing it in dribs and drabs.

I know I know at least 4 minutes this week, I don’t know where I find the time. Am I your mate?

Many season ticket holders didn't bother to turn up last night so the attendance was artificially inflated. It's no good trying to attract more supporters if we can't hold what we have. The product on show has to improve quickly or it will be another lost season.

You don’t want to annoy your American Investors either, 2nd biggest spenders this season after those giants oop north, strange why your supporters arent showing up? Less than 10k was it?

The ref did go over to confirm with his assistant.

I doubt the ref saw it. I didn’t see it as they had either cleared or taken a goal kick and the ball was in our half.

I think the assistant must have made the decision

The assistant did and the ref went over to check the details, albeit briefly.

Briefly and quick to give the decision and not taking into account the circumstances and discussing them, poor refereeing for me.
Doesn't excuse Yalcouye as it doesn't excuse good player being made to look bad.
Really think Sheehan is over thinking things, Galbraith should be in the centre of the park, if you want to drop/rest Key play a dedicated full back don't make the midfield weaker with the omission of Galbraith from it.
But Parker isn't up to it, every game I have seen him play in the first team squad he has been up to the job, blaming youngsters for bad performances seems the easy option to use. Glad to see Congreve getting credit for his performance for Dundee, Widell originally dropped, Wales not getting a look in, young dynamic players told they are not ready to fit into a slow turgid preforming team and yet a petulant loanee gets the nod ahead of them, some seem to forget it takes time for a team or players to bed in look at how long it took Guehi and that was with ex-premier league players alongside them.
For now Sheehan needs to play his strongest players in the ir natural positions, if in a settled team they are not performing then look for better solutions, constant changes isn't going to help bed in players and isn't going to help the team in the long run.
Again last night we were passive waiting for the openings to appear letting teams get organised in defence and then trying to force things instead of having good movement to enable player to turn and face the way we want to be playing without over committing.
At the moment we are trying to keep width almost playing with both wingers and wingbacks leaving two not the previously decried three centrebacks.
Time for Sheehan to have a rethink able how we get rhe ball forward into spaces to allow us to progress up the park without making ourselves vulnerable at the back.
