Soft Cell's musical force Dave Ball dies aged 66. RIP

Never knowingly right.

I know they have many more famous tunes but this one and that line “keychains and snowstorms” was the first to come to mind and somehow seems apt. They made some great music. RIP Dave Ball

In an interview many years ago Marc Almond stated that he disliked being pigeon-holed as "a 'gay' artist" as it marginalised his music to a narrow demographic and implied it may not be of interest to anyone who wasn't gay, when he wanted everyone to enjoy his music regardless of anything they may be.

Great band and RIP Dave Ball.

Saw Soft Cell a few times over the last few years.

Always looking to improve their set list and change, not for change sake.

By Dave, you were a powerhouse of ability and music.
We will all miss you.

I salute you with your last really good song, aided and abetted by your friends……

I give you……Purple Zone!

Tainted Love... one of the best covers ever IMO. Almost better than the original! The way they slowed the tempo down added to Marc's voice plus the way it seamlessly blends into 'Where did our love go' is just a complete perfect match.
