Charlie Kelman’s Leyton Orient 12:00 - Feb 8 with 148617 viewsDannyPaddox

Up against Man City in the FFS that was offside FA Cup. I prepare to stand corrected but I think Charlie is still our player but as I take as much interest in modern football players contracts and transfers as I do in mobile phone contracts I could be wrong. Either way seems like a good lad and having a decent season with a club I like so up the O’s!

Up against a central defender today in Ruben Dias who’s worth approx £75 mil … would love to see Charlie meg him.

Just 6 touches in the first half and none in the oppo's box. Orient need to do better.

Orient didn't play balls into him in the box. The few attacks that they had, their players chose the wrong option and took on speculative shots.
Charlie was tightly marked and needs to work on that aspect of his game.
Encouraging that with, I think, his only effort on goal he got off a good strike which was deflected on to the bar.
He's a striker that scores goals, we don't want to be swapping him for a defender. (unless it's RE😳)

Orient were really quite average on the day. But then the game itself was dreadful.

That cup final was his chance to shine......but he didn't.

Charlie Austin was crap in the league one playoff final as well, should we have written him off?

Until he gets a run of games in a QPR side we are never going to know

The best football I saw all season was the Premier League Cup Final against Brentford. Maybe Derby at home too.

The PL Cup final was certainly enjoyable but don't kid yourself that either of those sides wouldn't have been comprehensively beaten by any Champ side. Look at Murphy's goal - he had so much time and space he could have danced a jig and waved to all his family and friends in the crowd before picking his spot. That kind of luxury is very rare in a champ game.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

I‘ll pay £1,000 a month to the LfW Patreon if Clive gets gazza to give a MOTD style analysis through gritted teeth of every one of Kelman‘s QPR goals next season.

Problem is a run in the Rangers side, with no goals in a dozen games means that he is worth sod all again. Right now he has a value, but how high is it? How much would a west Brom or a Coventry pay for him? That's what we need to know when trying to ascertain whether to sell or keep.

He might still be our player and we might still want to keep him for next season - but isn't the bottom line whether he wants to stay or not?

Maybe he has one of Les's year extension clauses

he signed a new deal last January, we're not allowed to know how long for though so you are right he might be leaving this summer for all we know

Oh yes. I suppose it shows how unenjoyable modern football and/or QPR games generally are though. The extra time and space at that level makes it more watchable.

Thank you. Great to have a QPR player and football conversation. And a decent write up. No! we don't have enough strikers! My impression of Celar is he did not adapt well, and in games saw his movement and positioning was not 'the best'. Based on the snips in this article, Charlie's strength on the ball and finishing put him ahead of Celar. Then again, Celar's display vs Cardiff was the outlier. This does ask the question if Celar might still want a move away to more familiar shores...as rumors had suggested.
