Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 14:17 - Mar 29 by davman | Yep. Don't care about their league position; if they can't beat that team when they are home, they deserve to be going down. That purple patch has hidden just how poor our squad remains. 0-2 defeat and we'll be happy to get away with that. Really poor XI and bench for this level. |
Even worse than I thought it would be. Utter shite. Just a case of how many they want to score. This squad is utterly pathetic.

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:46 - Mar 29 by stevec | Not even sure there’s as many as two. The ones that masquerade as centre forwards.. Frey - always injured Celar - shit and injured Kolli - always injured and clearly doesn’t want to be here Lloyd - it’s football Jim but not as we know it. The good run left the board thinking we could scrape through this season but that’s not a given. The manager is sounding like he’s ready to throw the towel in. It’s a fckin mess. |
And there are many on here that would sell Kelman rather than have him play here when he is back.as he is not championship standard At the moment we have a punchers chance of being in league one next season anyhow on current form

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:46 - Mar 29 by nix | Criminal that ball-watching after Nardi's initial save. |
Criminal from the long aimless boot up the pitch with no Rangers player within 20 yards to the ease that they moved upfield and got into the danger area. Worst half of the season for me.
Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:51 - Mar 29 with 1748 views | Hoopstar | I am not sure I have the words to describe how poor that first half was. How do we have three central midfielders playing and no midfield? How was Andersen and Paal ever considered a plausible defensive side in professional football? Tough to watch. What a miserable end to the season after the fun of December and January. Always kings or paupers, can't we just have a season of being playing like a minor earl.

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:53 - Mar 29 with 1541 views | stainrods_elbow | The manager needs to finally accept some criticism for his cheerleaders here. Setting up with Dembele up top is idiotic, as is playing Andersen anywhere. Defensively, we're a shambles, even though Cook is the only one missing, and we've managed perfectly well when he was injured before this. Finally, could anyone tell me what/where are our tactics (apart from to give up the ball as often as possible, invite them onto us, then let them play through us)? It's a sh*tshow, folks! It could be another game where we only start playing when we are two nil down Lloyd clearly should have been on from the start For me bring on Lloyd, Yang and Bennie for Anderson Dembele and Morgan. Give Bennie some time on the pitch. Apparently performed well and captain of Australia's under 20s triumph in Oceania Cup recently. We.going to lose anyhow with what's on the pitch as the attack has no balance, clues or ideas at all and the defending is shocking. [Post edited 29 Mar 15:58]

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:55 - Mar 29 with 1502 views | rbee | Before the game I asked for discipline and being up for the fight and in that first half there was neither. It's difficult to believe at times tha it is actually 11v 11 on the pitch. Stoke get forward in numbers and have plenty of movement something that we are always incapable of doing. As usual our best player is a loan player and he should have started in midfield with Morrison in defence. How the likes of Paal and Andersen think they are going to get a new club next season I have no idea, start looking down the leagues boys if you can be arsed. [Post edited 29 Mar 16:02]

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:56 - Mar 29 with 1474 views | derbyhoop | Absolutely dreadful. Nothing sticking and defensively shambolic. Our 2 attempts have been catching practise for their keeper. Paal and Andersen getting carved open down our left and Jimmy struggling to dealwith Bung Ho. Midfield aren't getting close to their guys. I'm wondering how many they can get before they call off the hounds.

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 15:57 - Mar 29 with 1409 views | mart_Goblin | Ainsworth levels of dogsh*t About as bad as anything for a while . It shows you that when 4 or 5 are missing this squad is weak , timid, slow , lopsided and simply not good enough . If by chance we do stay up (with performances like this we could well go ) good luck trusting the same people to assemble another complete squad . Half of this lot have thrown the towel in , the other half are simply out of their depth. Only Edwards again with any modicum of respect which is a huge worry . Reactionary and OTT maybe . But that 1st half deserves it. Get it together Marti for god sake. [Post edited 29 Mar 16:00]

Over-reaction to say this as bad as Ainsworth era. But still bad. Bring on Alfie Lloyd and Yang right now and jettison Dembele and Anderson.

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 16:01 - Mar 29 with 1259 views | 1BobbyHazell | A performance that certainly backs up lots of posters and Clive (I think) thinking that Marti is off at the end of the season. Combine that with over half that starting team not being here next year and you can see why there's not that full effort, passion, togetherness and just good old giving a fu*k that a team with our limited talents needs to even compete at this level. Have to say again though what is with the 'offensive gameplan'? Pass backwards and sideways. On the odd occasion you may find yourself with the ball beyond a few opposition players make sure to pass it backwards quickly without trying anything skillfull or inventive that might progress us up the pitch even further, ensuring that all 11 of the oppo can get between us and their goal again. Repeat until you lose the ball in a dangerous position or Fox is forced into a rushed aimless punt upfield a mile from any Ranger's player. [Post edited 29 Mar 16:04]

Hairdryer treatment required at half time For all the boys and girls that are at the game FFS show some pride and put in some effort at least. Most of the starting eleven look like they planning their multitude of expensive sunshine breaks in the summer. For the amount of money paid to players such as these at times the lack of any credible effort is criminal. [Post edited 29 Mar 16:02]

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 16:02 - Mar 29 with 1215 views | 7374Ranger | Absolutely dreadful. They can barely put 3 passes together that doesn't include Nardi. Once again starting with Smyth as a centre forward in the absence of Frey is just stupid. It totally failed against WBA so why does he think it would work today? I can't believe that once again QPR look like throwing away a 10+ points lead away to slip into the relegation battle. I said to a fellow QPR fan 4 weeks ago that the 2 wins we need were going to be difficult to achieve the way we were playing, but I hoped it wouldn't be the case. Injuries haven't helped, but these tactics are not going to either. Get Lloyd on the pitch alongside Smyth or maybe even push Dunne up front to at least add a focal point and give something for the Stoke defence to deal with.

Stoke City v Queens Park Rangers- match thread hi on 16:03 - Mar 29 with 1185 views | NotAnotherR | Bizarre that only the loanee Edwards seems to be putting himself about really; Varane and Colback been disappoint compared to some of their performances this season, and Paal, Fox & Morgan been painfully sloppy. No surprises given the contract situation is probably getting to some of this lot, wouldn't be surprised to hear murmurs of discontent at how late we're leaving it to renew (if we are even renewing)...
