How do we have three central midfielders playing and no midfield?
How was Andersen and Paal ever considered a plausible defensive side in professional football?

The manager needs to finally accept some criticism for his cheerleaders here. Setting up with Dembele up top is idiotic, as is playing Andersen anywhere. Defensively, we're a shambles, even though Cook is the only one missing, and we've managed perfectly well when he was injured before this. Finally, could anyone tell me what/where are our tactics (apart from to give up the ball as often as possible, invite them onto us, then let them play through us)?

For me bring on Lloyd, Yang and Bennie for Anderson Dembele and Morgan.
Give Bennie some time on the pitch.
Apparently performed well and captain of Australia's under 20s triumph in Oceania Cup recently.

Before the game I asked for discipline and being up for the fight and in that first half there was neither.
It's difficult to believe at times tha it is actually 11v 11 on the pitch. Stoke get forward in numbers and have plenty of movement something that we are always incapable of doing.
As usual our best player is a loan player and he should have started in midfield with Morrison in defence.
How the likes of Paal and Andersen think they are going to get a new club next season I have no idea, start looking down the leagues boys if you can be arsed. [Post edited 29 Mar 16:02]

A performance that certainly backs up lots of posters and Clive (I think) thinking that Marti is off at the end of the season. Combine that with over half that starting team not being here next year and you can see why there's not that full effort, passion, togetherness and just good old giving a fu*k that a team with our limited talents needs to even compete at this level.
Have to say again though what is with the 'offensive gameplan'? Pass backwards and sideways. On the odd occasion you may find yourself with the ball beyond a few opposition players make sure to pass it backwards quickly without trying anything skillfull or inventive that might progress us up the pitch even further, ensuring that all 11 of the oppo can get between us and their goal again. Repeat until you lose the ball in a dangerous position or Fox is forced into a rushed aimless punt upfield a mile from any Ranger's player. [Post edited 29 Mar 16:04]

For all the boys and girls that are at the game FFS show some pride and put in some effort at least.

Absolutely dreadful. They can barely put 3 passes together that doesn't include Nardi.
Once again starting with Smyth as a centre forward in the absence of Frey is just stupid. It totally failed against WBA so why does he think it would work today?
I can't believe that once again QPR look like throwing away a 10+ points lead away to slip into the relegation battle. I said to a fellow QPR fan 4 weeks ago that the 2 wins we need were going to be difficult to achieve the way we were playing, but I hoped it wouldn't be the case.
Injuries haven't helped, but these tactics are not going to either. Get Lloyd on the pitch alongside Smyth or maybe even push Dunne up front to at least add a focal point and give something for the Stoke defence to deal with. | | | |

Bizarre that only the loanee Edwards seems to be putting himself about really; Varane and Colback been disappoint compared to some of their performances this season, and Paal, Fox & Morgan been painfully sloppy.
