Sorry, I just couldn't face it.

Mate, you could have just stopped at 'Bare Breasted Locals'.
It would have save you a lot of work and saved us having to relive the crap we all sat through.
Just remember though, those of us in the Stan Bowles stand didn't even have the benefit of sitting in the sun.

Absolutely brilliant, summed up my feelings in a way I never could. Time Team and Olly Murs references quality.

Have set it on to to a couple of Cardiff mates and they think it is bang on.

The inability of professional footballers to string a few passes together never ceases to amaze me.
Is it just me but Nardi’s kicking really needs to improve. It’s appalling at times.

In the interests of public safety, all video of this match has since been encased in concrete and dropped into the mid-atlantic.

I almost pity you, Clive. Not only did you sit through it, you also have to recall it/consult notes to do a write up.

Labours of Hercules might have been more fun.

Agree on both points.

Nardi is fine playing shortish on the deck but his longer passes are very inconsistent.

Well done and thank you Clive for just getting it out there and still making it entertaining. Motivation can't have been easy, genuinely wouldn't have blamed you for just not bothering. Soccer Aid and Olly Murs made me lol in a very inappropriate environment!

yeah that was a tough one to witness. Sitting in the Lower Loft we did at least have the benefit of feeling nice and warm in the sun, as you mention.

I'm an eternal optimist by rights, and even though we have no fit players, are on a terrible run of form, and always do QPR things to ourselves, I was reasonably positive about this game. Even at half time, I thought there had been enough hints that we may just do something so I was still thinking we would win.

But that second half. Dear me that was poor. I don't know how you find the energy and creativity to come up with this stuff time after time, but you always do and no matter what the result or performance, I always look forward to reading your reports.

Thanks for continuing to write such great copy. It makes it a little easier to bear.

I've been dragging my now 12 year old daughter along for the last 4 years and generally we love it no matter what. But there was something about this one that makes me wonder - is she starting to doubt my judgement?

I think it was the general apathy at the final whistle. I can't remember a reaction quite like that before.

I'm dreading the day she tells me she doesn't want to go to games anymore. I fear that day has just come a little closer

Glory hunter, me

Upon leaving the stands and going down the stairs, as I had my hand on the bannister, a lady put her hand on the bannister at the same time and our hands momentarily touched. That was the most exciting thing that happened all afternoon.

I swear the ball was launched in the air at the kickoff and didn't hit the grass again until about the 11th minute

He doesn’t have much of a leg on him. Compare him to the Pompey keeper who was launching the ball 70 yards with a mere flick of the leg.

Not sure if I enjoyed reading that or I immediately suffered PTSD from reliving it .

As ever, brilliantly written and very funny even though I’m sure some of it said with a hint of venom and not meant to be

If there's a saving grace, its that the two Manchester titans couldn't manage much better between them yesterday.

so far no comments on what i thought was one of the MOST interesting points made, in short...why not simply park the bus. The defensive 8 on this team are pretty good. its the scoring piece we cant do.

1. Ala Harry Maguire..I still think Ashby at RB, Ronnie as 3rd CB and 3 DMF (Varane, Colback, Field) ..with Dunne imitating Frey could be an entertaining experiment.

Thanks Clive definitely not a classic but because I headed and kicked every ball I was a nervous wreck second half expecting Cardiff to score.

I completely lost any sense of watching the aesthetics of tha game and was just relieved we never lost.

Personally I would be delighted with an even worse game Wednesday night if we can guarantee the same score.

Just survive and get this season done and regroup in the summer.

Excellent report worth the wait even if you had to suffer through reading your notes and settling down to type that .
Thank you for adressing our season long stupid habit of giving away frees in positions where we have them pinned in and somehow manage to clatter through the backs of defenders hoping for contact to go down and get the free .
So many games when we were behind late we do the same mindless tackle/push and you can see it coming a mile off. Then another minute gets happily wasted while the opposition run away then someone crawls back or the keeper strools out to take it.
I guess Marti has his hands full trying to pick 11 fit bodies its hard to address everything right now.

Totally agree with Clive & Clareman on this.

So frustrating to see us do this match after match.
