The run continues and he has been supurb since coming back into the team. As important as Steve Cook is to the team and the squad you have to wonder whether retaining Cook who will need to play for his cost is going to block Morrisons progression. If only Dreamboat Ronnie was ours because they are an excellent pair

Morrison is like a seasoned veteran footballer in a 22 year old body. His reading of the game is so good it's difficult to believe he's only just turned 22.

Never knowingly right.

Played well but Edwards was better......

Superb defender, been a very good signing, we look more composed with him at the back, and it proves with all his starts not lost a game.

So what: he’s not ours and won’t be here next season.
Morrison has been impressive all season and should be a first team regular next season: he’s been a great signing.

So what he is not ours.......Edwards played well yesterday & imho was possibly the best of the 11 - thats football, best players get picked..

Lets not go too OTT with Morrison, he has only played a few games. I have seen all this OTT stuff with Armstrong, Morgan, Kolli, etc, etc, etc. A dozen good games and that's it but I like, generally, what I have seen thus far.

He appears to enjoy chewing Varane out regularly - but I’m not sure Jonathan understands everything that he’s saying. Nardi has had a couple of Paddington hard stares too.

I like that if it raises standards but you can’t lose your man as I think he did yesterday for the goal and try to blame someone else.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

He's a top player. Needs a water tight contract. Id go as far to say our biggest player since Eze.

He’s the most composed centre back I’ve seen here since Fenwick .
Bit harsh to blame him for their goal .
It was a sublime pass for their goal and believe me we’ve seen some keystone cops defending in the loft end so no complaints on that one.

Agree, that pass & goal was coming for 5 minutes as with no Field we were not pressing the ball and they were playing forwards & sideways till that sublime pass and quick movement from their West Ham loanee opened us up.

Wouldn't criticise Morrison as it was a quality pass, in the same way Edwards back pass nearly undone us due to their pacy attacker.

I prefer Morrison to Fox any day 👍
Perhaps Marti thinking was, both Edwards and Morrison are, right footers?
Fox does have a decent, left boot, on him, but that's about it?

Morrison is what I was hoping Joe Gubbins would be.

Unfortunatly the likeness stops at the blond hair and Catweazle beard

I never saw anything in how Gubbins played that was close to Morrison's standard but I did think he'd do better than ending up at National League Southend.

My take on Gubbins the first time I saw him in a youth game is that he didn't like to tackle. Pass, intercept, head...all very good. But tackling...not so much.

Quite a few young defenders like that in recent years.

Yep, I concur. Maybe aspiring young defenders these days are only interested in 'tekkers' and not the physical aspect of the game.

Interesting to see what happens this summer at CB.

Cook has played enough games to be entitled to another year but word around Xmas was that he was sick of it all and ready to retire this summer.

As said previously, Southampton have a horribly bloated squad that will need extensive surgery this summer so there is a good chance Edwards will be available again if we can offer him gametime every week.

Agree, good leap & dominant in the air for the not the tallest Centre Half, good positioning, tackling and reading of the game, also not hampered by say Dickie's crucial lack of pace,

Steve Clarke was at the game yesterday (as was Kevin Keen, maybe monitoring their West Ham loanee?), think Bristol City have a young player eligible for Scotland but would'nt be surprised if Clarke was their to watch Morrison as would be on his radar after his 4 years at Bayern Munich.

If that's the case then he'll be enjoying tekkers in the National League. A defender has to defend first and foremost. The rest is a bonus.

Yes especially since cook is getting older and will be able to start less and fox isn't great. Looks like a proper gem though. Hopefully we can keep him for a long time

This run is getting too good and too long to be a coincidence

Thought he was great again today
You’d simply love him and Gorgeous Ron to do a whole season next year

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
