Very generous. Think there is some hyperbole in there.

Also, if that is genuinely the case, have some personal pride and retire. Don’t take the piss and rinse a club and their fans. If you’re going to take the cash, at least deliver something and risk getting injured again. He’s not been out injured at all this season, to my knowledge.

Willock Mk1 under the <ahem> Beale era and the lockdown games was something to behold. Everything after and particularly his attitude was mostly depressing. When he left my head said 'thank god' but my heart was a bit sad. Such a waste.

If he continues to chase the £££s he’s not going to get another Championship gig based on form and injury record: will have to look abroad for another payday.

That’s a good shout: they’d probably be naive enough to throw money at him based on his highlights reel of his best moments at QPR.
Would love Wycombe to beat them to auto promotion as well.

Slag off the fans, get yourself sacked (early.) Relegation doesn’t appear on your CV.

Otherwise known as the Mark Hughes Trick.

Yes, sounds like a piece of clever manipulation on his part

Same reason they signed Ramsey on a huge contract when he’s incapable of performing.

Absolutely unplayable that night at Sheff U until his hamstring went again.

Absolutely disgraceful mismanagement by boil face. He needed to be carefully managed coming back from injury but he knew he was one of his few trump cards who was scoring goals and winning games for him.

Wilfully ignored the medical staff's advice and totally flogged him into the ground until his hamstring went again.

His Dad is an idiot. Appalling management of his career these past few seasons. And Willock’s character should be called into question. Phoned it in for us at times. Not delivered at Cardiff. Strikes me when things get just a little bit hard he folds. There is a hugely talented football in there but it’ll be on him (and his Dad) and no one else that he fails to make the most of it, even some it.

As someone else said earlier in the week, his bank balance doesn’t care though.

Never had much time for this individual, had a few good games but overall a major disappointment. My opinion is that he had a poor attitude towards the game & QPR, gets whatever he deserves.

Hunter is pretty much correct in what he is saying imho.

My 8 year old son likes to meet the players arriving at the ground on a matchday, Willock one of the very few who clearly didn’t want to do it. Massive contrast between him and the likes of Saito, Nardi and a few more. Doesn’t be that many there, only takes a couple of minutes but Chris just skipped it completely a couple of times I was there.

Willock is a quality player ... still.

However, he has always needed a few games to get involved in a match. Also, he does not like wide pitches but small, tight ones like Loftus Road, where he can dribble into the box, get closer to the goal to score or create an assist.

He also needs another player to play with. Chair, for example, we can see Willock needs that. In contrast, Chair can play with anyone, which is why Chair is a better player.

At Cardiff, they clearly did not understand this. Thinking they were getting a proven Champ player (which they were, but with strings). They also had another winger, so, of course, it was only a matter of time before Willock got an injury, had a bad game, got dropped, and was now out of the team. He's the sort of player who needs a run before he really gets going.

Willock should have stayed at QPR, where he would, on reputation alone, possibly have attracted someone silly like Saints or Wilder to buy him. Remember, he could easily have had a release clause like Freeman's put into his new contract, and some silly Premier or ex-Premier club would have bought him, thinking they were getting a deal.

Now, he's destined to possibly never leave L1 and QPR will be the highlight of his career.

This is good for us if Cardiff go down, and Willock is stuc there, as, along with Dykes and the rest we let go, this is a message to Kholi and the others that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Often its just another load of poo, but this time instead of it being the clubs rep that gets tainted, it now becomes yours as well!

zzzzzzzzzz

Why do people mention goals when it comes to Willock. In his four seasons with us he averaged five a season.

Again, I agree with you in principle but think it’s a bit naive to believe that he would retire when he can get money out of mugs.

Just look at his now boss who has played and won at the highest level. He could’ve retired at the top and will live like a king on only the interest on his bank balance, yet is still leeching a hefty 5 figures every week out of ‘his boyhood club’ despite only being fit enough for 20 appearances in 2 seasons.

You then have high profile guys like Micah Richards and Ledley King who had no meniscus left in their knees, couldn’t train and needed drains after even light exercise, yet hung around for years taking 6 figures a week for the remainder of their deals, because why wouldn’t you??…

I’m fully on board that it’s sad that his promise was lost to injury, but I can’t get angry about him taking every penny he can get from whatever he has left in the game.

Or he could have just done what he did and what almost everybody would have done, take the best offer on the table at the time.

I don't know what the opposite of 'constructive dismissal' is, but giving the fans stick is pretty much it.

Whatever strings he came with weren't located at the back of his thighs.
