Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 08:10 - Apr 24 with 3459 views | WhitworthDale | Several years ago I recall that the club instituted a sliding scale, whereby the number of season tickets sold impacted the price, and the more we sold, the lower the price. I believe Russ Green was the man in charge of this promotion but I may be wrong. I have a feeling we sold 3k+ tickets that season. It's a smart idea, because it encourages more sales while also protecting the budget. Others may have better/more accurate recollections, but these are the sorts of creative solutions that in my view are required to attract increases in attendance. Otherwise the club is just selling the same product to the same people, at a lower price, taking into account inflation.

Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 22:27 - Apr 23 by TalkingSutty | I think the singing section moving into the Pearl Street stand can work and it will enhance the atmosphere in the stadium. It's also easier for the club to monitor individuals if they have each been allocated a seat with their season card, its difficult to argue when presented with clear CCTV of somebody behaving inappropriately.. The majority of the youth are great though, boisterous youngsters having a good time with their mates and supporting their team. I think it's important that they are listened to and accommodated. The young fans are our most important ones aren't they when it comes to the future of the club? So to expect exemplary behaviour isn't normal, it's never going to happen when you get a crowd of youngsters together in high spirits having consumed alcohol and what ever else they do these days. However, there is a line that can't be crossed and entering the pitch, throwing bottles, fighting etc can't be condoned. It jeopardises the clubs safety certificate for staging games, it costs the club extra money in policing costs and it's breaking the law, which will lead to banning orders. It puts people off attending games also. The CCTV cameras are top quality in and around the ground they pick up everything, are the youth even aware of that? The singing section could do with maybe a few young volunteer stewards who they can relate to and in return the stewards get a free season ticket. Self policing themselves and removing the few who are jeopardising everything that they have is the best way i think. They also need educating, so maybe include a letter containing a code of conduct which is expected from every fan who has purchased a season card for the singing section. Why not invite maybe 50 of these youngsters up to the club when they purchase their season cards and give them a tour of the CCTV Control Room, show them how clear the cameras can identify individuals and all areas of the ground. Invite the football police liason officer to also attend and do a presentation and conduct a Q&A session to also include the stadium manager. I think thats a better approach than just expecting them to just turn up and behave themselves because kids don't work like that, banning them from attending games should be a last resort also if it can be avoided. Maybe a two strikes and you're out policy can be used by the club for non criminal matters. Finally, try to leave the end block of the Willbutts Lane stand empty for the majority of games and bring in extra stewards for the few games when it's not, anticipate problems before they happen. This is something every club in the country has to contend with, its nothing unusual and it's not something that will ever go away completely. There are ways of managing crowds though but our stewards are as much use as a chocolate fireguard, Taurus security aren't fit for purpose so consequently the fans can do what they want. 100% agree with you there. The club needs to embrace young fans and bringing them in to show them how we manage the stadium can only help. We haven't heard of any actions following the Spennymoor game - as you say the club has good CCTV and will know who was sat in which seats in that group at the end of Pearl Street. Yesterday I got a cab in Newcastle and was chatting about the Man City v Villa game and whether it was a good result or not for Newcastle. I got to talk about Rochdale and the taxi driver told me a story about a mate of his who has a new partner from Rochdale who has moved up to Newcastle. She has 4 kids and one is known as 'one of our top 5 hooligans'. She claims it is badge of honour. The taxi drver couldn't believe the 1980s still existed in non league. I despair. We clearly have a small number of idiots that come to the game to cause trouble come what may. They are the ones we need to weed out. Like your idea of people being encouraged to spend more money through hospitality. But is the lounge concept still available given the club seem to be moving to a bar offering for mainstand fans paying for the padded seats from next season? [Post edited 24 Apr 10:54]

I think the biggest driver is the product on the pitch. Everybody knows that you can't win every game but there has to be a consistency in how we approach games. Fans don't pay good money to watch sterile training ground football, it bores them to tears. We can all hear the crowd reaction in the stadium, the frustration is audible. Those sitting in the Directors box recognise it also. It's something McNulty always reverts back to and invariably it never brings results. It certainly doesn't increase attendances and it needs to stop.

Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 18:35 - Apr 23 by EllDale | Would perhaps a bit unfair to tar them all with the same brush. But yes, it’s the young lads who normally stand in the Sandy at the moment. |
Where, in my opinion, they can stay !
Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 09:00 - Apr 25 with 2678 views | ChaffRAFC | Freezing the prices was something I don't think the club had a choice over. Had they put them up, it would definitely have impacted sales given how a lot of the performances this season have been. This has been proven by the attendances dwindling. We had a sub 2000 Saturday crowd recently and yet we're in the playoffs so that tells you all you need to know. The pricing can't be complained about in my opinion as it's more than reasonable in comparison to other clubs but one think I've not really seen anywhere else which may impact some supporters, myself included, is the Klarna finance option being over 3 months which is another decrease and makes it more difficult for those of us not blessed with money up front. Last time I used a finance option it was over 5 or 6 months.

Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 11:17 - Apr 29 with 1708 views | A_Newby | Last season we had some of the lowest season card prices in the NL. RAFC had an adult Sandy Lane terrace season card price of £200 but there were two clubs with a lower adult price for standing in a terrace, Eastleigh at £199 and Fylde at £190 (Fylde had two prices for standing depending on the terrace, £190 and £230). With Fylde being relegated and with Dale freezing the season card prices I wondered if RAFC would be the NL or EFL club with the lowest priced adult offering but Eastleigh have lowered their early bird price for adult standing on the terrace to £175, they even had a super early bird offer in January for adult terrace standing of £99. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 08:24 - Apr 30 with 1417 views | A_Newby | Oldham have increased their early bird season ticket prices by 5% across all age categories for next season. For example, an adult season ticket price going from £320 in 2024-25 to £336 in 2025-26. Their prices go up by 25% outside of the early bird window, e.g. an adult season ticket increases from £336 to £420.
Season Ticket Prices Frozen 25/26 season on 09:18 - Apr 30 with 1304 views | A_Newby | York City have announced that their early bird prices for this year’s season tickets have been frozen. “We can confirm the following season ticket information: Frozen Early Bird prices! Early bird offer ends 16th May.” The above is a bit misleading; they have “frozen” this season’s EARLY BIRD prices at last season’s STANDARD price. From lower down on their website. “As a show of our appreciation for our loyal season ticket holders and our acknowledgement of the rising cost of living, those who renew their new season ticket before the 16th May will have their season ticket price frozen from last year’s standard pricing.” Their early bird prices are actually around 11% higher this season than last season, for example an adult price going from £315 to £350. They have however already sold over 1,000 season tickets with over 500 going to NEW season ticket purchasers.

Last night's result gives Andy Duff and his team a great opportunity to promote the upcoming play off games and season ticket sales at the same time. Would anybody be offended if purchasing a ticket for the home play off game automatically gives any new customer 10% off the purchase of a season card? The club need to go large now to maximise our 4th place finish, rally local businesses and especially the council. A great chance to increase the club profile and attract sponsorship for next season. I noticed Bradford City give you the option of paying for your season tickets by setting up a monthly direct debit..for example £25/month and it just rolls on to the following season.

Andy Duff and his team will be well aware of the revenue opportunities if we can make good progress in the play-offs. Of course the real showcase for the town would be a trip to Wembley. Remember the buzz when we had 17,000 in the League Two play-offs. 80+ coaches booked. All merchandise sold out. The club will need to put as much effort into selling the play-off game as they did the Spennymoor game. Success on the field breeds success off it. Sponsors will line up. I don't believe that discounting one of our best value products is the way forward. People will come to the play-offs to see us succeed. If we do, some will buy into next season. But I can't see any benefit from discounting season tickets when the vast majority of purchasers will already be committed to both the play-off game and the season ticket. Lets focus on selling out Spotland next Thursday first.
