**BURNLEY MATCH THREAD** on 17:33 - Apr 25 by London_Pride | If my memory serves me correctly, the last match thread started by Ted was Cardiff away and Celar’s (brief) moment of glory. I predict 3-0 and a hatrick for Madsen. In Ted we trust. |
Yep that was me turning our season round, all plaudits accepted.

**BURNLEY MATCH THREAD** on 05:46 - Apr 26 with 2545 views | Malintabuk | Is there a game going on today? Just surfaced here in deprived Thanet ready to get on the road to enjoy this sporting spectacular.... Will any of us actually be watching it in a sporting context? Might be a case of "did something just happen then. I was too busy trying to work out what that sub conscious tick that Nourry has means.... oh Burnly got their 4th..... what does that hand signal from Marti mean......." Oh hanker back to the salad days of running on the pitch at the last game, making a bee line to your favourite player and trying to rip his shirt off his back to keep and adore in the privacy of your bedroom.... So back to the game... who really cares... Will we even score, unlikely. Will Burnley try.... do they need to, this has the making of 0-0 written in stone.... knowing us it will be a 5-0 gobbling of them... 4 from Nardi and OG..... Where are my meds......

I’d bite your hand off ☹️ but whatever happens today, before any criticism of Marti just take a look at what players he has available. Smyth’s suspension goes to show that God is not on our side.

Doubt I'll make it now. Shame, as I was going to perform my controversial new mime as a protest against this season's third kit, only my leotard got put in on a hot wash and is now really saggy around the crotch. I mean, I could but last time I got 6 months and I'm now banned from KFC.

**BURNLEY MATCH THREAD** on 16:31 - Apr 25 by stainrods_elbow | If you equate 'success' with 'staying up', bear in mind others may not share your downwardly managed expectations. Mind you, Marti seems to agree with you, judging by his comfy pre-Burnley chat on the Offish. When you consider what this club achieved in the early 80s, first half of the 90s, and then again in 2010/11, it's saddening. |
Coming from the south, Palace fans everywhere this morning. Off to Wembley yet again and in the Premier League next season for the umpteenth time. Incredible to think where they were when we nicked Warnock, Derry and Hill. Just shows what having competent owners can do... [Post edited 26 Apr 11:05]

45, 30, and 15 years ago. Things have changed. I wonder if fans of Preston and Huddersfield are trying to reanimate methods from the 1920s. You can’t *want* a football club into success. Thats the mistake Leeds made for many years. You need stability first and foremost, which means having a manager lifespan longer than a houseplant’s. Then a view to recruit with a minimum of 5 years in mind. Something I’ll give Nourry credit for trying to do. [Post edited 26 Apr 12:11]

I reckon it’ll start with 4:2:3:1 Edwards and Morrison in CD. Varane and Colback as the 2. Ashby for Smyth/Yang on the right ahead of Jimmy. Expecting a change to 3:4:3 when the subs come on.
