It's a very good point. I kind of don't care about the Sunderland game anymore.

Never knowingly right.

Nourry could appoint himself as manager with Rooney and Terry as his assistants and I’d still go. It would still occupy my mind far too much. It’s not something you can switch on or off.

Haven't renewed my ST and I don't get worked up by it anymore. Sigh.

I think if all that happened I'd need Psychiatric advice.

Never knowingly right.

It's basically the same as it has been for most of my near 60 years oF support!

I did think yesterday if I'd renew my ST, but then I thought that I did with Ainsworth as manager (and went to Watford first game). I'm not saying that now is any better, but it ain't no worse!

I was first taken to the Rs in 1955. 5 years old, and don't remember it. Something must have happened, some weird incursion into my DNA and very being, and I have been addicted ever since. I suppose it's like drugs, but worse.

Regarding fans

"It is the intensity of emotion that counts, so their history of shared painful losses is as important as the joy of winning the league in creating “self-shaping” experiences. These experiences lead fans to fuse their own identity with that of their club and fellow supporters."

unless i was made manager, or chairman, there is absolute f...all that i can do.

next season will be my 57 th year following the thing i love second to my wife/family.
next may will be 50th year with my wife.....thats besides the point.

every season i expect us to do well, i dont follow us to under achieve, even though i know the ins and outs of qpr.....they are my social life....
before games, home and away, are where i meet mates, family and new friends, a bad season is where the 90 minutes gets in the way, but i stay until the very end every game,
i love qpr....that to me are what following the r's are about.
from early 1990's i've taken my children, nephews and nieces, and grandson to qpr, and am proud to say that not one person in our family supports anyone other than qpr.
yes, i will be there next season, so whatever my views on qpr, our club, i' think i deserve the right for my sometimes strange comments on the r's, but they are always meant well.
i'll never give up on this mad club....if we win something or come close, it's a bonus....

chin up people.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

We could all club together and be a conglomerate ownership

However unless we have any "Bill Gates" among us, even cumulatively we would be extremely poor in football terms.

My friend who has followed Pompey for many years, they had a go at this and they ended up in dire straights...

Think they used 57 players in the first team one season and often players were on very short term loans , some as short as a couple of weeks. Often between games there were five leaving and joining. Total madness.

Yep so we are at the mercy of people employed by the club

One day we will get it right

Somehow we all live for that special day !!!

Nice one 68. Been questioning it all myself over the last 24 hours but your post brought me back to reality. We don’t go for the glory do we?!
My dad took me first time in 1975. We seen a lot in that time eh?
I’ll be back next season no matter what.
URRRRSSSS!

I seem to have found a weird but happy medium in that I enjoy the highs just as much as I ever did, but the lows and defeats just don't affect me the way they did as a young man. Don't get me wrong, it annoys me but I sem to treat games like the Burnley one with an odd calm now. Only game that really effed me off this year was Portsmouth at home and that was just at Morgan Fox.

We're a much more dramatic soap opera than either Eastenders or Coronation Street with a wider range of unbelievable characters.

QPR is a cruel, cruel mistress...

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
