That's what most of us think, let's hope we're all wrong.

This is the same club that had Koeman, Poch, Souness, Ball, Strachan as manager. World cup winners, title winners managing our club. How low we have gone that we say we can't get anyone good, experienced and established anymore. What have Sport Reublic done to our club? [Post edited 24 May 14:21]

Will Still confirmed on 14:29 - May 24 with 2196 views | felly1 | Let's hope Sports Republic get this decision right. On paper this is a reasonably sensible choice imo. No Championship experience but that didn't affect Maresca at Leicester. Took over at Relegation favourites Reims in French L1 and turned them into a midtable side. Went to Lens who then sold their best players and spent very little money and basically finished in the same place as their previous season. Good luck Will , most of us will be fully behind you , let's hope Spors and SR give you a squad to compete for auto promotion or play offs at a bare minimum. Although this may take a couple of seasons tbf.

I think you've unfortunately answered your own question there. Not ti mention the players we were able to attract and find through our excellent scouting and academy staff

Will Still confirmed on 15:21 - May 24 with 2072 views | kingslandstand1 | Also wondering if he'll be able to pursuade any of the players we "expect" to leave to stay? In particular Fernades and Ramsdale. They could be absolutely critical to a successful season

Lets be honest most managers that we have appointed have not been welcomed with enthusiasm, Pochettino was a failed manager in Spain, Adkins was a lower league manager, Alan Ball was not exactly doing well when he came back to the Dell, failed at Pompey, failed at Stoke and now struggling with Exeter when he joined us, Gordon Strachan had just been sacked by Coventry after getting them relegated. Lawrie Mcmenemy had no experience above the 3rd tier when he arrived and Chris Nicholl when he replaced him had been assistant manager at Grimsby for two years and had zero managerial experience. Graeme Souness had only managed at big clubs with big money in their respective leagues. Sometimes I think that we rewrite history to suit the narrativ, it is easier to name the managers that we were delighted to have

Sorry but are they experienced back room staff with the right experience and qualifications ? It’s unusual to say the least.

I don't think that will be an issue, but a lot depends on the tools he's given, not implying the current players are tools of course

I agree all the current tools need to be binned and a nice new set of tools would be welcomed

Will Still confirmed on 20:24 - May 24 with 1467 views | Ninja9 | IMHO not what was needed . Are quality players going to want to come to a club with a 32 year old manager with very little experience , and no experience of the Championship . I hope im wrong but i think it will end in tears yet again .

The Brighton manager I believe has a similar unknown background, aged 31/32 ish and not a lot of history and hasn't done too badly Ok, a different calibre of players and owner, but you never know, could be a good find
